Love you all, praying for you!
God keeps reminding me of things – as much as He reveals new things. In PRISM yesterday, He brought me to a verse I’ve heard many times. Psalm 100:4 – Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and Praise His Name. Since it was so familiar – I looked past it asking God what verse He wanted me to SOAP out. But He brought me back to it. Thanksgiving and Praise. You get in with thanksgiving, and you get intimate with praise. Gates and courts. Give thanks! Every single thing that’s good in your life, comes from Him. We can spend more time thinking of the struggles and the challenges, when the good things He has given, so far surpass any challenge we currently face. All the things He has given to us, and already done for us - Think of them, and Thank HIM for them. Praise His Name. Every part of His Renown and His Fame… He’s Eternally Existent, His Character, His Power, His Authority, He’s the Creator, Sustainer, Lover, Giver, Provider, Savior, Vindicator, Forgiver, Leader, Finisher, Doer, Answerer, Victor. Everything He did in other’s lives, everything He has done in the world, everything He has done in you - and for you. Things about Him, worthy of praise – are infinite. Thank and Praise! Praying that you are living out of PiVAT today – exactly what He told you to do and when – fully faithful in this hour. Praying that PRISM – your time in His Word today – is giving you new things to praise Him for – and a new understanding of all the things you are praising Him about. Praying that your Daily Call – is that daily testimony that keeps you overcoming the enemy. Praying that today, you will think of all that He has done – and be thankful for each one. Speak it out loud! Praying that you will think of who He is – and Praise Him for it. Praise changes you not Him. Praise releases Him to do things in your life – beyond what you can imagine. It’s part of what brings the Good that He is and the Good that He has for you – to you! Praying that Thanksgiving and Praise would draw you today – to a bigger picture and understanding of Him. Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you!
Yesterday someone mentioned counsel they received from my daughter. Her desire is to be un-offendable. Is that your desire? Are you willing to be unoffendable? Are you willing to choose to be unoffendable? Have you ever gotten into an argument with your husband, or your wife - or someone close to you, a family member or a friend? Have you ever gone back to apologize for something, only to get into another argument? Why is that? Sometimes when apologies end in another argument – it’s because we want to be heard, more than we want to understand. I want you to hear my viewpoint – what I think, and how that made me feel, more than I want to understand your viewpoint, what you think, and how that made you feel. Have you ever noticed that arguments in marriage or family so often happen just before you are about to go to church or go and do something to help or serve others? It’s like arguments come out of nowhere! It’s what the devil does – he tries to steal, kill, and destroy. Marriage is the greatest earthly blessing God has given. The most important human relationship there is. God ordained marriage to reflect His image, He is the one who defines it. That’s why the devil attacks it so much. Family is the second greatest gift God has given. He puts us in families, close relationships - the people that know you the most – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Have you noticed how easy it is to be offended by things people say or do? It certainly feels like they were doing it to you! How rude, how inconsiderate! I can’t believe they did that! Proverbs 19:11 - A person’s wisdom gives them patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense. What if you were unoffendable? How would that change your life? What mental energy, negative emotion, and misplaced effort would that save you? How would that impact your day – if you didn’t waste any time being offended by someone - something they said or did? Most of the time they don’t even realize it. They’re going about their day, and you’re stuck in the toilet of offense. What could you do instead with your time and emotions? What would that do for your marriage, or your family? What if you just decided that you would believe the best in others, that you would always assume the best and not the worst? What if you asked the Holy Spirit – to help you be unoffendable - to listen, and ask them to clarify, rather than interrupt and talk. What would that bring to your relationships – and your life? How many conflicts might that avoid. And what could God do instead with your mental and emotional effort – no longer consumed with offense? Have you ever asked yourself - what could offend you today? Have you ever even thought about that? What could get you to choose to be offended. The way someone drives their car? Something someone might say, a look, a slight, a thoughtless word or action? What if – in the moment you are presented with that opportunity to be offended - you thought of a time - when you did the exact same thing. You have, we just don’t think of those times, we think of what others do to us. What if you loved that person – despite what they did? Because God loves them. What if you realized that what they did, may be a result of some deeper things they are going through? Burdens that you don’t even know… What if you chose to pray for them, and bless them, rather than be offended by them? Try something today. Talk to your best friend and share the three things that you could most easily choose to be offended by – and tell them that you’ve decided not to take offense – to be unoffendable today - to pray for them instead. Ask them the three things that might most easily offend them - and pray for each other – that God would teach you how to be un-offendable; that every opportunity to take offense – God would turn it into an opportunity to love and pray for them. (I’m not talking about telling them – "Hey you’re offensive, let me pray for you." No, just praying yourself - for hurting people that need God’s help. Not only will it bless them – it will absolutely change you! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God showing me this morning – how important today is – in what He has planned for this week! If you did PiVAT Weekly on Sunday – you have already hit the ground running this morning. (If not, just take the time now – and ask Him. It doesn’t take a long time, just a decision to. He will show you exactly what you need most from Him this week, the Number One thing He has for you to do, and the other things for you, at the time He has appointed. This might be an unusual week, a once in a lifetime week, or it might be a normal week, of work, school, chores, and activities that you have done before. Sometimes God moves more in the mundane than the insane. Yes, there are insane weeks when He does crazy things… But the steady plodding of just joyful and faithful obedience in the every week kind of weeks, are building a foundation for you – that He can add to! God showed me something yesterday. Psalms 99:6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on His Name; they called on the LORD and He answered them. He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees He gave them. I love this. These mighty men of old (and women)… There were two things that characterized them: 1) They called on His Name. 2) They obeyed His Word. They called on Him, and they obeyed what He said. Pretty simple. Why not? His plans are way better, His blessings are beyond imagination. And when they called on His Name, (put their trust in Him, not themselves), and followed His Ways – both how to live and what He wanted specifically for them to do, God responded. He answered and He spoke to them. He answered – He showed up, rescued and delivered them, but then He also spoke to them. He continued to give them instructions – He walked with them – to show them how to walk in His blessing – beyond anything they could have dreamed. Some people call on His Name (His power, authority, and renown) when they’re in trouble, when they are facing giants. And that’s fine. He’s the mountain mover, the giant killer, and the storm calmer. But praying that you will call on His Name – even when you’re not facing crisis. When you’re facing a week that you could live on your own, or get distracted, or lost in the shuffle, that you would call on His Name – that He will make His Name great – in a regular week. That you would grow stronger in Faith, by growing stronger in obedience. That you would grow stronger in joy, by growing stronger in obedience. That you would see fruit that comes – with each step you take. Praying that you would live out of PiVAT, and Seek Him in PRISM – and encourage another on your Daily Call - That you would hear Him speaking – and His speaking would become your doing! (both how to live, and what He has specifically for you to do). Every new thing, builds on the last thing! If you call and obey, He will answer and speak! Today is so important – in what He has for you this week. Praying that your eyes will be on Him, your ears will hear, your heart will be ready to obey, your tongue would be filled with praise, and that every obedience will become a new testimony – that you overcome with! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me of something recently. What are Sunday’s for? Sunday’s are for worship, Sunday’s are for remembering, Sunday’s are for Thanksgiving, Sunday’s are for Testimony. Sunday’s are for relationships, Sunday’s are for rest, and Sundays are for seeking. The Jewish Sabbath is actually sundown Friday, to sundown Saturday. But now we celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday. The first day of the week, Resurrection Day. A day of rest is not the absence of all activity. You got up, your made your bed, you took a shower, you went to church. All activities. But that day of rest – is really a day of rest from your normal workday, and an opportunity to reflect, to remember, to thank Him, to thank Him, to build relationships. What’s the purpose of church? Worship and bless others. Hear the Word preached and give and receive testimony. Many people go to church to sing a song and listen to a sermon. It’s what many consider worship. But worship also includes what you do every day – to the best of your ability – as long as it’s what God told you to do (your reasonable act of worship). But Sunday’s are important to reflect on God’s goodness to you this week, as well as, come together as the body of Christ. If you’re still living - He’s blessed you! If you accomplished anything – it was through the power He gives. And the relationship time you have – is really best used to share and hear testimony of what God has done this week. Few people understand the power of the testimony. That’s why Daily Calls are so important. They constantly focus you on what God told you to do, but also what God has done. Even Sunday’s - the people you meet at church – you might not be doing a Daily Call with them. But you can still help them discover their testimony. It’s part of Winning Souls. God says its wise. Everyone has a testimony. One of the greatest blessings of being in Christ – we can help others discover their testimony! It will help them overcome. Rather than just “How you doin?” They’ll say – “Good, How are you?” “I’m doing well.” Maybe add a follow-up question. So what did God do this week? And just listen. They won’t be used to the question… It will stop them, and if they take a moment to think, and remember, and share what God did. You will have just helped them overcome - with their testimony! Before you go, just have a 10 second testimony of your own – that gives God credit for any of the multiple blessings that He gave you this week. You’ll overcome too. If the conversation progresses, consider asking them The Best Question Ever (see this relationship topic) It’s a habit that will change their life and yours! What did God do this week? And What Do You Need Most From God today (or ‘this week’)? - are questions that will release. They release the power of the Testimony, and the power of God in their life. They help people remember, Give Him glory, and get hope for what God will do. Praying that your questions today – will focus you on Him, and help focus other people on Him. No better focus ever! And finally, I’m praying that you will take time to day to seek God for His plans for you this week. PiVAT Weekly is so important on Sunday’s. It’s how you hear what God has planned. If you don’t take the time, you won’t hear, if you don’t hear, how can you do it? And if you don’t do it, you can’t get to where He longs to lead you to – this week. If you ask, He’ll tell you, and where He leads – you can follow. It’s good. It’s how you get to the good that He has for you. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God showing me something recently. We just got new tires for April’s car - needed them badly. If you’ve ever ridden on bald tires – you know what I mean. You don’t feel stable, when it rains its slippery, you’re hydroplaning, bald tires can put you in a ditch. And have you noticed with bad tires, it’s so noisy when you drive, plus you can’t even rest, you’re constantly thinking in the back of your mind – is this the day that the tire will blow out? It’s funny – even if you had a nice car, if it has bad tires – it doesn’t function the same. It doesn’t operate and perform as created. Tires are important in cars, and in life. What are the tires of your life? Where the rubber meets the road? Whether your life has traction – or you’re slip sliding away? Hebrews 3:7 – So, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts. As you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did. That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways. So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ It’s amazing what the Word of God reveals for life. He’s talking about tires. First, He makes it clear – This is God speaking, (the Holy Spirit says). Second – every time He has an instruction for you – it pertains to a time, not next week or next month – Today – if you hear his voice. Do it now. Third, his voice to you is always a test. And here are the tires of life – hear and heart. Today, if you hear His voice, don’t harden your heart. Many people never hear His voice. Either they don’t even know he’s speaking, don’t think He’s speaking to them, or they ignore or resist what He’s saying. Today, if you hear His voice, and God is always speaking – if we will hear… Then – do not harden your hearts. When does your heart get hardened? After many years? Nope, the moment you hear. Your heart is always softening or hardening, with every time you hear His voice. That moment of truth – where the rubber meets the road – you hear and obey, or you hear and harden – you don’t obey. You ignore, delay or obey. The first two are both disobedience – bald tires. No traction, not getting anywhere, out of control, a crash waiting to happen. Or brand new tires – gripping every corner, traction in rain or snow, quiet ride, and acceleration that gets you somewhere – the Good that God has prepared for you! Praying for you today – that PiVAT before dinner – will be your daily hearing. God will surely speak. Like a father would never give a child a stone that asks for bread, every time you humble yourself and put Him first – in PiVAT before dinner – He will surely tell you the good that He has planned for you for tomorrow. That habit of hearing and obeying – is like new tires for life! No ditches, no slipping, just accelerating and arriving. Praying that PRISM – not just where to go, but how to get there... If PiVAT is the tires, PRISM is the rims. Praying that you will always hear and obey, never hear and harden. Praying that PiVAT and PRISM is your habit of hearing, and your Daily Call is your habit of overcoming – that you’d get brand new tires every day – that your traction is sure, and your joy is complete. Obedience will always bring joy. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
Praying that PRISM is your addition every day. God showed me something yesterday in my PRISM time with Him. It was in my I: Insight from the Word – your Proverbs Chapter for today. Today’s date (yesterday) was the 15th. And as I was asking God what verse do you want me to S.O.A.P. out? Which verse to you want me to go deeper – that you want to reveal something I haven’t seen before? And I noticed that several verses in that chapter had to do with our words. What we speak – the power of the tongue. And I felt God told me – just write down the take-a-ways of the tongue. It’s a powerful thing. What should your tongue do? Your speech say? Your Words speak? Verse 1 – Give gentle answers – never harsh words. Verse 2 - Commend knowledge – never gush folly (commend means – to present as worthy of notice or high regard, to speak in favor of, to recommend the knowledge of God. Verse 4 – Your tongue should bring healing – not deceit. Verse 7 – Your mouth should spread knowledge. (But you gotta recognize it first. What most people think is spreading knowledge is really gushing folly – only your PRISM time – over time – will help you distinguish between wisdom and folly – cause some folly really sounds wise – it’s just – not.) Verse 8 – Pray. Your tongue should pray – but your heart should be upright – then your prayer will please God. Verse 12 – Ask for counsel from the wise – don’t refuse to. (Does God want you to seek counsel from someone today on something you are facing? Be sure it’s an obeyer – they give the best counsel. Not just someone who tells you what you should do – but who’s walking in it themselves.) Verse 14 - Seek knowledge – Do not let your mouth feed on folly – watch what you are saying with your mouth. Do PRISM Out Loud – so your mouth gets used to speaking truth. When you read it – cool – but when you say it – it becomes real. Your mouth cements your belief. When your mouth is used to speaking truth – if you ever say something stupid – it will taste funny in your mouth. It will become obvious. Verse 18 – Your mouth should calm quarrels – not stir up dissension. Are your words bringing people together – or driving them apart? Overlook offenses, and encourage others to do so as well – just choose to believe the best – find common ground. God says when a man’s ways are pleasing to him – (including their mouth) – He makes even their enemies to be at peace with them. Verse 23 – Give an apt reply (a fitting and suitable reply) – you’ll find joy, and a timely word – how good it is! Timing is only discerned through the Holy Spirit – just cause you think it – doesn’t mean you should say it. Some things are to say, some things are to pray – Ask the Holy Spirit to be the filter of your reply. Only speak when He says – and your reply will be that timely word – that brings blessing – that can turn an army, spark faith, or inspire greatness in even the least likely. Verse 25 – Never speak pridefully. Do not let a prideful word come out of your mouth. The only way to do this is - not speak. Wait until God tells you what to say and when. Don’t say a prideful word – God tears down the house of the proud. Verse 28 - Weigh your answers, don’t gush evil. Think first – speak later. Only what God says and when. You don’t have to answer every question, or every question right now. You don’t have to comment every time. Learn the invaluable skill of – leaving something unsaid. Verse 29 - Your mouth should pray – but from a righteous life – and the LORD will hear you. Verse 30 – Speak good news – bring health to the bones (of you and the hearers). If it’s not good news – don’t say it! Let others speak the bad news – let your tongue always deliver truth, light and love. Verse 33 – Your mouth should Fear God. Part of the Fear of the LORD is done with the tongue: Praise, Say, Tell, Trust, and Hope) and Verse 33 - Your tongue should always speak honor of others. God first, and others next. When your words honor others – you are taking the low place… putting them higher. Humility precedes honor. Humble yourself with your words, and The Almighty God will lift you up in due time. Praying for you, that you will think before speaking today. Even think about what God would have you speak and not speak today – before you find yourself in the situation. Ask God what His plan for your mouth is today. See the PRISM Topic – Say. Praying that you will commit your mouth for good today. That the Holy Spirit will lead you to be silent, and when you speak – that it will always be truth in love, in his perfect timing – like apples of gold in settings of silver. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God challenging me recently. How well do you treat - those closest to you? Like the preacher who doesn’t treat his wife very well, or the pastor who is rude or short with his staff and volunteers. Their great sermons – ring hollow, empty. Jesus said an interesting thing. John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another. They won’t know by the car you drive, or the house you live in, or the clothes you wear, or how popular or cool you are… they will know it – by how you treat each other. Those closest to you. Starting with your spouse, your siblings, your friends. Those who know you well enough that you can sometimes take for-granted. Some people are always nice to complete strangers, but rude to their own family. God said how we treat each other is important. It’s what distinguishes us as His followers. Praying that you will ask God today – how He wants you to treat – other people – especially those closest to you. Sometimes it takes an awareness before you can implement. Just ask God to help you show the love of Jesus in your response. His Word is critical. PRISM will change your mind, your heart, your perspective, even your emotions. His Word always changes you – when you think more like He thinks, you treat others more like He treats them. Praying that God will lead you to listen to the Relationship Topic – How To Treat People. His Word is a great reminder, and a great instructor. It will change you – how you think and how you act. He will get the glory – and you will get the blessing. It’s not just others who benefit – your own life will be enriched in every way. God’s Word will change you – grow you – you will walk in the Good that He has stored up for you! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
Have you ever had a sucky day? For me bad days used to be when things didn’t go my way. But the more I grow in Christ, the less bad days I have. Oh - plenty of days still occur where things don’t go my way, but my definition of bad days has been refined. Bad days are not external anymore, they are internal. Bad days aren’t when things go wrong – that’s life – and God is much bigger than anything that comes against you. Bad days are really – just when I don’t fully obey. If there are three things I would encourage most in your life – the three that will make or break you. PIVAT, PRISM, and a Daily Call. Without asking God before dinner what His plan is for you for tomorrow – you’ll walk in your plan, or no plan, but not His plan - which is the only way you’ll walk in the good He has for you. And it’s the only way He can prepare you for the good He wants to bring you to. Sometimes God just gives you good things (He brings them to you) – but there are other good things that He needs to bring you to them. Your maturity level - is not at the level yet, to see or walk in that level of Good – that He wants for you. It’s that “next level good” that you have to become something different - to get to it. Oh and by the way… the secret to maturity is obedience alone. Maturity doesn’t come with time, it comes only with obedience over time. You can be young and mature, or old and still immature. PiVAT, PRISM, and your Daily Call will mature you, because it will grow the habit of obedience, and maturity will be the result. That is how God brings you to the next level Good things – that He has stored up for you. PRISM – your time in His Word – getting the mind of Christ – transforming yours – not only brings you wisdom and discernment – it’s how you understand the “how to” – behind the “what to” that He just told you for today - last night in PiVAT before dinner. PRISM helps you understand how to do what He told you to do, and how to do it with the attitude and perspective that brings peace, success, and favor in the doing of it. And your Daily Call – that’s just the overcoming testimony that’s the jet fuel of your obedience. These patterns – are the running track for the discipline God has for you – so knowledge comes easily to you, and you live in the good that He has. So have you ever had a bad day? The real definition? Yesterday I had a bad day. The number one thing God told me to do (during PiVAT before dinner) I didn’t do. I did other things, I did good things… but not the needful thing - the thing I needed to do most. That means that thing – that God told me to do, didn’t get done – so it will consume time to do it – on a later day than He intended. Taking time, that God really had for something else. Is that religion? Condemnation? No way! That’s honesty. Praise God – He knows how to make up the time. Confess your sins (any place you fell short) and just obey from here! But a great lesson learned. Patterns can become motions, but motions aren’t patterns. Going through the motions doesn’t mean you’re following the pattern. Someone once said, “Don’t confuse activity with accomplishment.” Patterns are critical to success… to the good God has for you to walk in. What God tells you to do every day, and what He tells you to do today. But be careful that patterns don’t become motions. Going through the motions, and not really obeying – doesn’t get you anywhere. It dulls the spark plug. It comes down to this. What God told me to do in PiVAT before dinner, He told me when to do it. And when that 3:00 pm comes. Will I do it or will I not? Will I do that thing that God told me to do in this hour? Or will I choose not to. It doesn’t matter what else is available, or what took me longer than I thought, or other good things I could do. If God told me to do this – at this time. Am I – or am I not going to do it? Sometimes I’ve found – it’s time to HOLD UP! Wait a minute. Stop the presses. Sometimes obedience to what God told me to do – means stop every single other thing – until I go back and do what He told me to do. Stop asking God for help house shopping in Tarsus. Ranch or Two-Story doesn’t matter – you’re not supposed to be in Tarsus! He told you to go to Nineveh. Stop everything – Don’t do another thing – until you finish what He told you! But…. But nothing! Your obedience depends on it – so your purpose and destiny depend on it. And the good that He has for you depends on it. Sometimes you gotta Hold Up, Stop the Presses, do not do one more thing – until you do that thing! It might even be a simple, seemingly inconsequential thing. But nothing God told you is inconsequential, and nothing is going to work well in your life – until you do it. PiVAT has changed my life forever. It’s how I hear the voice of God, and how I know what He told me to do today. (never even thought of it before…) But just cause He speaks and I write it down – doesn’t mean I really do it. Either I heard Him - or not… but if you don’t know for sure. DO IT. Err on the side of obedience. God will lead refine your ears, but he can’t refine disobedience. There’s nothing to work with. He has to correct it. Praying that you will hear and fully obey today. Don’t let the devil ever tell you the lie, that this is religion. He’s a liar. Either God told you to do this, or He didn’t. If He did. Hold Up! Don’t do another thing until you obey what He said. Don’t eat, don’t sleep, don’t take the next breath until you DO IT! Get there! You have no idea what your obedience today – will bring you to! This isn’t bondage – that’s a lie. This is freedom! Freedom to walk in all that He has for you. Praying the Holy Spirit will bring peace and great joy – in the obeying. Praying the Holy Spirit will remind you of that thing. It generates testimony – because God always responds more – when we respond to Him – You wouldn’t even know what to obey if He didn’t love you enough to tell you! Obedience always starts with Him and ends with you, and then ends with Him. He always responds again. Praying that your joy will be full. Just get there, God can make up for any lost time. Nothing is too little to obey in. That’s what faith looks like. Obedience. Faith that you heard Him speak, and faith that obeying what He said – will make a difference. It does! A worship song that I’ve been blessed by. This is a move. What’s a move? When God moves you. When you move – in response to Him! That’s a move. Praying that you will be moving! Not just going through motions, but hearing and obeying, instantly and completely. That you will never grow weary in well doing, (obeying). And that if you need to – you’ll Hold Up – and go back to whatever He told you to do. There’s joy there. It’s really - worship. And He’s worthy. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God stirring me recently – It’s good to know who I am in Christ. But it’s way more important to know who He is in me! God told me, focus on Me, not you. I’ve got you – but if you have Me – you’ll have all that you need. Who you are in Christ. #1 - You are created – you were made in His image… He said He created your inmost being, He knit you together in your mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13. #2 - You are loved – For God so loved (you) that He gave His only son that having believed in him you will never perish but have eternal life (John 3:16) #3 You are Forgiven - And when you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven all your transgressions - Colossians 2:13 – and #4 - You are filled with His Holy Spirit – with power to live a Godly life, grace to say No to the sin that once enslaved you, and grace to say Yes to everything He tells you to do. Who else you are - the list is endless, you’re redeemed, sanctified, set apart, anointed, empowered... you could list more – but all of these are really what He is in you, or what He did or does in you. You’re Created, Loved, Forgiven, and Filled. But don’t set your eyes on you… set your eyes on Him! What He is in you, is more than what you are in Him. He is your Creator! He is the lover of you! He is the One who forgave you! and forgives you… He’s also your advocate before your Father in Heaven. He’s the Word of Truth that you need to walk in – to walk in victory. He’s the strength that you need, the wisdom that you need, He’s everything you need! Everything of the new you – is really Him in you! Praying that you will set your mind on Jesus today. Think about Him, His power, His Authority, His love, His grace, His complete perfection, and perfect example! See the Relationship Topic – Praise the Names of God, and the Relationship Topic - Praise the Jehovah Names of God. Praying that you will Walk in the Spirit today – that PiVAT before dinner will help you know what He has assigned you to do, and that PRISM will help your mind become His! Praying that you will Overchoose His presence, and your Daily Call will help you Overcome with your testimony. Jesus is Mighty in you! He has good stored up for those who fear Him! Can’t wait to see who He is - in you! The more you obey – the more you will see. You are chosen by Him – purposed in this generation. He will bring glory to himself, and victory for you. Praying that you keep your eyes on Him! The author and finisher – of you! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me of something recently. The utmost importance of getting wisdom. Are you getting wisdom today? Have you ever had such a busy day that you didn’t even do PRISM? Have you found it interesting, as I have, that one day like this, can so easily become two or three? And before you know it you’ve been ‘wisdom-less’ for several days. You may not have starved to death yet, but skipping meals will eventually catch up with you. How important it is to be in God’s Word> If you are in God’s Word – you are in Christ – Jesus is the Word. (Just like He remained in His Father – in continuous communication with Him – it is so vital that we do the same thing. Getting His wisdom and understanding for what He has told you to do today. Praying that PRISM throughout the day is your habit! That you keep coming back for seconds. Proverbs 2:6 – For the LORD gives wisdom and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. If you are not hearing what is coming out of His mouth – you are not walking in the wisdom He gives. You will be walking in something – some set of ideas, some framework that determines your opinions, actions, and reactions. Wisdom is given – from God alone, but there’s not only one wisdom. Wisdom, not from God is not true wisdom, it’s man’s wisdom. James 3:15 “Such wisdom does not come from heaven, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.” Verse 17 – But the wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, (the King James says – easily entreated – in other words you’ll listen if someone comes to talk to you about something – you’re not an idiot) full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy…” Wisdom – chokmah <khok-maw’> to deal skillfully – from chakam <khaw-kam’> to be wise in mind, word and action, to show yourself wise – deal wisely – make wiser. Wouldn’t you love your life to be like that? Wisdom – Websters 1828 – I love this… Wisdom - the right use of knowledge; the choice of laudable ends, and of the best means to accomplish them… the faculty of discerning or judging what is most just, proper and useful… the knowledge and use of what is best, most just, most proper and most conducive to prosperity or happiness. Wisdom is the exercise of sound judgment either of avoiding evils or pursuing good. Wisdom basically - is knowing and doing the things that make you successful. God says He gives wisdom, from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. That means the closer we stay to what comes out of His mouth, the more wisdom we’ll be walking in. God gives wisdom to whom He chooses. He gives it to listeners, seekers, obeyers. It comes from His mouth. As does knowledge (to have wisdom about) and understanding – to know the best way to use it, implement it, and continue in it. Everything you need for success today – in anything God has put your hand to do - comes from His Mouth! PiVAT before dinner will tell you what He’s put your hand to do. PRISM will tell you how to best do it. And the results come from His hand. Nothing you have, or have done – was not from Him! His grace, His mercy, His strength, His understanding, His blessing, His holding it together. As you learn to ascribe every blessing to him, also learn to seek the wisdom it takes to walk in the blessing. Praying that your Daily Call – will not only increase your testimony – of the wisdom He reveals in your PRISM time with Him every day, but that your Daily Call will also get you the added blessing of the wisdom He speaks to others. As your Daily Call Partner – gives the testimony of what God revealed to Him! So that both of you will increase in wisdom, in knowledge, in understanding, and in power! What God tells you to do in PIVAT – He’ll tell you how to do it in PRISM. And you’ll overcome with every testimony you give. Praying that when He speaks you will listen. That PRISM will draw you, all day long! That the wisdom He gives – results in the testimony you give! Love you all, dad |
