Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me recently. Psalms 101:2 – I will be careful to lead a blameless life, when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. First, God always comes to you, His mercy met you this morning, His faithfulness every night, He comes the moment you call. He hears you, He loves you, He delivers you, He directs you. Here David says – I will be careful – I love it – David always committing himself with His mouth. Be careful to lead a blameless life. A blameless life doesn’t happen by default, it doesn’t come naturally. Those who lead a blameless life are those who are careful to. They give careful attention to it, diligent heed. Be careful. It is good to recognize what could trip you up… what could ruin your blameless. Just like an experienced quarterback has been trained to recognize defenses. A hard count, and he can see the linebackers creeping in. Once you know the blitz is coming, get rid of the ball quickly and expose the open space left behind by that blitzing linebacker – coming for your head, but leaving his area wide open. It’s good to know how the devil wants to steal your blameless. It will usually come in your feet, eyes, ears, and mouth. First – where are your feet? What are you doing here? If you’re in the wrong place, your eyes and ears see and hear what they never would have – had your feet been in the right place. Joseph knew when to run… but the best thing to do with your feet – is put them where God told you to put them in this hour. Do what God told you to do – and most of what could steal your blameless – you’ll avoid altogether. Next, what do your eyes see? Be careful to – starts with your eyes. What are they looking at? Are your eyes fixed straight ahead like David? Have you made a covenant with your eyes, like Job, not to look lustfully, not just at a woman, (fleshly things) but things you don’t have, houses, cars, clothes. If you’re always hanging out at the mall – its just a matter of time before you buy something that you don’t really need. And whether you do or not – it’s not what God told you. Asking Him should I get this? It’s harder to hear the Holy Spirit in Abercrombe – when He never told you to go to the mall in the first place. Instead fix your eyes on Jesus (be thankful for what you do have) and fix your eyes on the next thing He told you to do. There’s joy there, blessing there, growth there, and positioning there for the next thing – that you have just proven He can trust you with… Next – Be careful to – starts with your ears. In this hyper-entertainment based culture – what do you hear? If you’re not careful – you cannot lead a blameless life. Who’s talking, or singing? What are they saying? Does it honor God, Is that God’s best for you to set your eyes and ears on right now? And even that is not the question. What is God telling you to do in this hour? DO IT! Anything else – is not being careful to… And finally – your mouth. What is be careful to lead a blameless life – with your mouth? Three pitfalls of people with unblameless mouths. Be careful – your mouth gets you into blessing, or gets you into trouble. From the fruit of his lips a man is filled (with good things) but also with bad… Are you being careful with your mouth? The easiest thing to - is complain. Be careful to – lead a blameless life. Grumbling and complaining is very easy to slip into – you are either speaking life, or you are not. God hates grumbling and complaining. That’s what angered him about the Israelites – and the entire generation forfeited their chance to see the land that He promised, because they weren’t careful to be blameless with their mouth. The second thing is slander – so easy to get into the habit of slander. God hates it. Say nothing harmful - to others, about others… Like your Grandma used to say… If you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. Learn to leave things unsaid. Greed – I wish I had a new… whatever… that doesn’t lead to blameless – it leads to discontentment, coveteousness. The best way to be careful with your mouth – is to fill it. Avoid something is hard, pursue something is easier. PRISM Topic – Speak Life – Be sure you are always speaking life. Praise is the Ultimate Speak Life. See PRISM Topic - Praise – it’s always life. I’ve never complained, slandered, or coveted when I was praising. Be careful to – lead a blameless life – is not just be careful not to… it’s be careful to! Praying that you will always have your feet in the right place this hour – PiVAT before dinner – and God will tell you. Praying that you will be careful to put your feet, your eyes, your ears, and your mouth – on the things that God has told you. Whether work days – when you’re in the grind, or weekends or evenings or vacations where down time can entice you to let your guard down. God has a plan for every day, every evening, every weekend, and every vacation. You can trust Him. Praying that you will fully obey His will for this hour – and you will be careful to – lead not only a blameless life – but a fully blessed life! Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you!
God teaching me recently. Titus 1:1 - Paul a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of truth that leads to holiness. There’s just something about clarity that accelerates you, that eliminates wondering and wandering, where you cease effort on needless or meaningless things. Clarity accelerates you. Paul knew who He was, the purpose for it, and the result He was doing it for. You can be any number of things, but the only thing that brings success is doing the thing and the things God has designed you for, created you for, purposed you for and assigned you to. It will impact this life and the life to come. Your reward depends on it. Your life down here determines your life up there. And it lasts forever! Paul a servant of God. That is who He was generally. That applies to you and me. First we are servants of the Most High. Jesus was a servant of His Father (the only thing He did was obey). And He was a servant of others – He washed His disciples’ feet. And since He clearly said, a student is not above his teacher, that too is who we are. Paul knew who he was generally - a servant of God, and He also knew who He was specifically – an Apostle of Jesus Christ. The Word of God says, “He gave some to be Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers” – to build up the body of Christ. You might be one of these ‘five-fold ministry gifts’ in an official body of Christ capacity, but if not, you definitely are a Disciple – and therefore a disciple-maker – a Discipler of Christ. Matt 28:19-20 applies to everyone of us - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." So you know for sure – you are a Servant of God, and a Discipler of Jesus Christ. Remember, in Discipling – it takes one to make one. You first are a disciple, then a disciple-maker. What a joyful thing. Fully obeying like Jesus did – makes you a disciple – it conforms you to His image. Then in the joy that brings – you can walk with another – to help them hear and obey and walk in the destiny and joy that God has for them. Paul knew He was a Servant and an Apostle, but He also knew why… for the faith of God’s elect (those called by God), and I Peter 3:9 lets us know - He would that every one come to the saving knowledge of Christ). For the faith of God’s elect… not just for their faith for salvation – but also their faith for obedience! Paul said He was calling people to the obedience of Christ. (Romans 1:5) The purpose – of His calling – the faith of God’s Chosen… was that they become Holy – set apart! He knew that who He was, and the purpose for it, was to bring a result. He knew what He was producing – the point of all His effort. So people would walk in the knowledge of the truth that leads to holiness. He wasn’t going through the motions, wasn’t just spending his life making a buck, saving for retirement, or accomplishing temporal things. The purpose of who He was – was to help people walk in the knowledge of the truth. To walk in the knowledge of something – means you’re doing it, not just hearing of it: knowledge by experience -and it always leads to holiness. (A set apart life – no longer slaves to the sin that once had them bound.) So Paul knew who He was- a Servant of God. He knew his specific calling – An Apostle. You and I are at least Disciples and Disciple-Makers – if we will walk with someone close enough to rub off on each other… The most impactful thing you could ever do in your life – to allow someone close enough to see how you obey. That’s what Jesus did. The crowds He preached to didn’t change the world. His disciples did. Those He walked closely with. And Paul also knew the fruit he was after – not just hearers of the Word – but doers. Those whose lives produced the fruit of holiness. Set apart obeyers those who surrender time, thought and money decisions – live a completely different life! A Holy Spirit led life, a God directed life, not a natural – “come up with your own idea - the best you can - life.” What a difference. Praying that you will know like Paul – you are a servant of God, a discipler of Christ, for the faith of God’s chosen, and their walking in the truth that sets them apart. When you live that life - they will too, if you take someone with you. Why not? You’ll benefit even more than they will. Praying that PiVAT before dinner each day has you walking in the truth – the truth-walking assignment that God has for you today. Praying that PRISM will continually transform your mind to think like Jesus does. The power in your life is Him in you! not just a better version of you. And finally, praying that you would invest the effort in a Daily Call – that overcoming conversation that lets another close enough to see how you obey. Your testimony will help you overcome – and so will theirs! The counsel will encourage you – and the accountability will challenge and propel you. Praying that your Daily Calls are accelerating you and amazing you with what God does when we just obey. Praying that if you aren’t walking with someone, you will ask Him who to walk with? Hebrews 3:13 – Exhort one another Daily… It’s not just for them! It’s really for you as much as them. Praying that you will say to yourself who you are. (Me, Your Name) - a servant of God and a discipler of Christ for the faith of God’s chosen and the knowledge of the truth that leads to a set apart life – in me and them! The more you obey – the more He will do! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God prompting me this morning. “This is the day the LORD has made let us rejoice and be glad in it!” I just absolutely love God’s Word – it is light and life! Sometimes it has commands, sometimes it has suggestions. David is not giving a command, He’s giving an invitation. Because the LORD made this day, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Just like Jesus, David did what He encouraged others to do. David is saying – Let us… meaning – I’m going to, y’all should too. It’s a choice to rejoice. This day is the day the LORD has made. If the LORD made it, it is a rejoiceable day – if He’s LORD, meaning you do what He says – there will be many reasons to rejoice – take joy again. So David is saying, let us rejoice and be glad in it - in the middle of it. To take joy again – is to think of the things that bring joy! Your life is full of joyful things. Things to take joy again about… God himself – who He is and what He has done – just for you alone, not to mention everything He did for everyone else, from Adam, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the children of Israel, the believers in the New Testament. The reason to rejoice – His promises alone can have you rejoicing every day for the rest of your life. Let us rejoice and be glad in it – today! Not let us worry and be concerned in it. There are several things to worry about, The Holy Spirit leads you to rejoice, the adversary leads you to worry, fear and fret. God says Fear Not, God says Do Not Fret. And God says – through David – Today is the day I made, you should rejoice in it. Choose to take joy again. Praying that you will look at who God is, what He has done, and what He promised He will do. He will surely do it! Praying that even if you didn’t do PiVAT yet for today, you’ll take five minutes and just ask Him. What do you need most from Him today? You need stuff that doesn’t come from you – to walk in what He has for you! Praying that you will just ask Him – What is the Number 1 thing He’s telling you to do today, and what time He is telling you to do it? He will surely tell you, every obedience you choose today, will bring a testimony – because His blessing will follow. And every time you give a testimony of what He did when you simply obeyed. It will bring joy. Joy and obedience go together – far more than even peanut butter and jelly. Faithful servants enter into the joy of the LORD. Praying that God may lead you for your PRISM M: Meditate on the Word – to the PRISM Topic - Joy, or Relationship Topic – Thankful 100. There are so many things that can bring you joy – to take joy again in. Don’t think of anything else! Do you need something? Are you facing something, or waiting for something? He’s faithful, He’s your deliverer, He’s got this. Your job is to Praise, take joy again. Rejoice – today – God made it. And He made it for you! He has things that if you will obey what He told you – You’ll walk in them! Praying that you will do what David did – that you will choose to be a part of the “Let us” – that take joy again today – in the day He has made. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God showing me recently. Psalm 102:13 – You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. Every time I read the Word, God showed me – look at who it’s talking to – everybody? or certain people? Then be sure you are those certain people. Some people try to claim the blessing that their lifestyle disqualifies them for. Nothing you can do qualifies you for anything God gives – what Jesus did – qualifies you for that. But many of God’s blessings – to the qualified, depend on proximity. There are places you can be where the blessing drops, and other places and habits that prevent that open heaven. Be sure you are the person God is talking to. He’s talking about Zion, in the Old Testament, the place he chose to put His Name. When Jesus says the time has come and now is when true worshippers will worship in spirit and truth. This means Zion for us is that place of His Presence – made possible by Jesus Christ our High Priest. Praise God! He doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands but in the hearts of worshipers! This verse reveals – God appoints times and seasons. Some seasons are for waiting. Wait well. Wait faithfully, wait patiently, wait in hope, wait joyfully, and wait in His Presence! He shows compassion on Zion. The time will come – when God arises to show you compassion, when He moves in a huge way. The time for waiting will be over, and the time for Him to ACT will be in full swing. He will do it! As surely as He lives – He will move. The appointed time, the time of His favor has come. He’ll move you first, then He will move situations and people around you. His love for you is eternal, and He is your deliverer! So what time is it? Everything in your life is not one thing. There are several times appointed for you. It may be a time of waiting in one area, but it is the appointed time of favor in another. But don’t miss or mislabel – the time of His favor. Just because a certain thing in your life is still in the time of waiting… See the favor! This is the time of God’s favor. If He is speaking, it’s the time of His favor. Even waiting times – are still times of His favor - if we can see it. That’s what faith will do. It lets you see beyond the natural, beyond the immediate, beyond what is seen. Some people miss God’s favor – because they mislabel it – because they are always impatiently waiting for something else. It’s so easy to do this. Praise will reverse it. Just praise God for His favor in the waiting! And His favor in the Moving! When He moves or is about to! And He’s always about to! Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise – and you will enter his presence – you’ll be in Zion where He arises to show compassion, and His favor will come! PiVAT will keep you obeying – and favor always accompanies it. PRISM will keep you seeing – way beyond the temporary – He’ll transform your mind. Be intimate with Him, and He will reveal where He’s moving – so you don’t miss it, waiting for something else. He’s always moving. His power is eternal and present. His presence brings joy in the time of waiting and in the time of moving. Praying that you will wait well, that you will always be in Zion – positioned for His compassion and favor, and you will always See the Favor that He pours over you. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me of some things recently. When God reminds you, it’s because He’s drawing you! Closer to truth is closer to Him, closer to obedience is closer to Him. He reminds you to draw you closer. Proverbs 5:1 – My son, pay attention to my wisdom, listen well to my words of insight that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge. For the lips of an adulteress drip honey… Who is He talking to? Is He talking to you? He’s talking to sons. Pay attention, listen well. Not just listen, focus – pay attention. Listen well – apply instantly. Keep soaking in His Words of insight. To listen well is to listen thoroughly, repeatedly. Keep listening and keep listening to His Words so that in doing so… you will maintain discretion – keep it going. When you hear His Word, speak His Word, out loud – release it in your life – so you will keep listening – and maintain discretion. Keep choosing the best, not the second best; the best, not the worst; the best, not the useless; the best, not just the good. Keep listening to His Word, and you will make the right choices – discretion will highlight them for you. And keep speaking His Word so it will translate into knowledge and maintain it. Discretion is a hearing thing, Knowledge is a speaking thing, and Understanding is an obeying thing. All these are Wisdom. This passage talks of two lips. Your lips – which preserve knowledge, and the lips of the adulteress – that drip honey, are smoother than oil, but in the end are bitter as gall, sharp as a two-edged sword. There are two adulteresses. These are not male or female – it’s the voice that drips honey, but is false. There is the adulteress you hear, and the adulteress you could become – depending on what you speak. An adulteress has words. Whoever’s words are God’s words – are not an adulteress – they are a faithful friend – one who is an obeyer with you. What are you hearing? An adulteress’ voice? Don’t listen to one, and don’t be one. What are you saying? Never repeat words that lead to death. Keep hearing His Word and discretion will have you choose right. Keep speaking His Word and knowledge will continue in you. Keep obeying His Word and your life will be lived in understanding, blessing and complete success! Praying that you will always come back to PRISM all day long. That you will do PRISM out loud. That you will speak His Words so discretion, knowledge and understanding are maintained in you. Praying that your PiVAT before dinner will have you hear the plans He has for you each day – so that you can walk in them! Praying that your testimony - first on your Daily Call, and then to others that God brings across your path all day – would speak the love and hope and life of Jesus. That you would be active in sharing your faith – the testimony of your obedience, and His blessing. PRISM is so important – the more you speak His Word (out loud) the more ready you will be to share the life He gives! The Holy Spirit will have something to work with – and He will surely use you to win others to the good that He has for them! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me of several things recently. How do you read God’s Word? What impression does your mind go to first? Sometimes God speaks directly. “The truth hurts.” The devil wants to condemn you with it – but God wants to compel you with it, grow you, make you better, fully faithful and fully consistent. How you view God’s word tells a lot about your heart. Do you receive God’s word with joy – with the knowledge of His love for you that is loving you enough to correct you when you’re wrong, and raise you to a higher level? Or do you allow yourself a ‘guilt pity party?’ Some people use guilt and shame as an excuse to not make the change. Quick obeyers aren’t like that. Those like David, who inclined his heart to do God’s will – don’t waste time feeling bad, they are too busy repenting and instantly obeying. Praying that you would rejoice in every direct word that God gives. That you would ask the Holy Spirit to give you insight from the right perspective. And whatever God said that applies to you, that God is showing you – you would make the change, obey immediately, and do it with joy. Proverbs 18:9 - One who is slack in his work is brother to the one who destroys. Wow. Not fully diligent is just like the one who intentionally tears down. But really – who is the one who destroys? There is one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. I never want to be a brother of him. The devil is always trying to destroy the things of God. He tries in two ways. First, He tries to get people to destroy or tear down what God is building – from the inside or the outside. And then, if they don’t work against God, he wants them to not obey, delay to obey, or not obey fully. He wants brothers… The opportunity cost of disobedience or incomplete obedience destroys what God is building. A person slack in their work – means – not the work they are doing, they could be doing their own thing – not God’s thing for them. Slack or diligent? If you’re not doing what God told you, it doesn’t matter. Praying that PiVAT before dinner – has you waking up each morning with your heart set on obedience, so His blessing can flow in your life! Slack: Loose, slow, not tense or intense, not firmly extended – a slack rope. Weak, remiss (negligent, not performing duty or business, not complying with engagements, or not in due time. Not using due diligence, not earnest or eager. The first key to obedience. PiVAT before dinner, PiVAT Weekly before the week begins. If you haven’t been diligent enough to seek His plan for you – that’s where slack begins. But if you live in PiVAT every day – constantly coming back to the Holy Spirit to direct you step by step, you’ll be fully faithful in this hour. If slack is brother to the destroyer. Then diligent to know the will of God for you today, and diligent to do it - makes you brother to the builder. Praying that you will know fully what God has told you to do in this hour. (If you haven’t already, just ask Him now – double-check with Him! He’ll tell you) Come back to PRISM all day long – It will help you do it with joy! Praying that you will always be brother to the builder, the Author and the Finisher. You will find a new level of joy in every step of obedience. That’s how you walk in the Good that He has for you. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God showing me something recently. Philemon 1:6 – I pray that you would be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints. For years I’ve told you, “Don’t just pray for the thing, pray for the thing that brings the thing.” And sometimes the most surprising things – bring the thing. What one wouldn’t expect. Sharing your faith brings full understanding. So what is sharing your faith? God gives good things in Christ. Everything God gives in Christ is good. And every good thing God gives is in Christ! (In Him we live and move and have our being). But good must be understood. What good is good that you don’t understand? If you have understood a few good things, God wants you to understand every good thing He has given you in Christ. Not every struggle we will face, because in this world there are troubles, but He has overcome them all. He wants us to understand every good thing that we have in Christ. What brings this understanding? Sharing your faith. How do you share your faith? First – what is faith? Faith is trusting God enough to do what He says. Starting with, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” Then faith is trusting God enough to do what He told you to do. Praying that PiVAT before dinner is your lifelong habit – it helps you hear God’s plan for you for tomorrow. That’s how you walk in the good that He has for you. So what is God saying here? Be active in sharing your faith. How do you do that? You share your obedience. Sharing what God did, as you are simply obeying. Sometimes yes, it is sharing with others the simple gospel of Jesus. Admit you’re a sinner, Believe that Jesus died in your place for your sin, and Commit your life to Him (Let Him run the show) – and you will be saved. But actively sharing your faith – starts with just sharing what He’s done for you, even if you’re not sharing the full plan of salvation every time. Each time you obey – He will bring a blessing. Someone said, “They can argue with your theology, but they can’t argue with your testimony.” So give your testimony of what God did when you just obeyed. James made this clear… Abraham’s faith was counted to him as righteousness – but what proved the faith? James 2:21-22 - Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.” So if you share what God did, when you did what you did… that’s faith in action. Sharing the testimony of HIM is sharing your faith. And God says – Philemon 1:6 – be active in sharing this – so you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Praying that PiVAT before dinner will have you obeying, that PRISM will transform your mind, and that your Daily Call – will give you that daily opportunity to share your faith! What God did, when you did. He was the One who told you to do it in the first place – so you could obey, so He could bless you and take you to the next thing. There’s no life as exciting as that one! Praying that you will always have a Daily Call – so you can actively share your faith – so you can fully understand and walk in the good that He has for you. That next verse was interesting. Paul heard about it. Not only were they sharing their faith (and growing in their understanding of every good thing they had in Christ) – they were refreshing the hearts of others - and encouraging Paul in the process. Testimony has legs. Every time you share it goes even beyond you and the hearer. Praying that your Daily Call every morning is just the first time… that sharing your faith, the testimony Jesus in your life, becomes as natural as breathing. You’ll come to the full understanding of the Good that He has for you! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God challenging me recently. Are you driven or drawn? By what? Most people are driven by fear or greed. Most people are drawn by temptation, or the pleasures of the world. Are you driven? Or Are you drawn? What drives you? What draws you? Have you ever pushed a rope? You can’t get anywhere with it. It gets all wrinkled. Life is a lot like that. It’s a path, and when you push on your own – trying to make things happen, sometimes your path can get wrinkled… taking all kinds of twists and turns, that sometimes have you even going backwards. Driven – urged forward by force; impelled to move, constrained by necessity. Drawn – Pulled; hauled; allured; attracted. Jeremiah 31:3 – The LORD appeared to him from afar saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Praying that you will be drawn by His loving kindness, and if anything drives you – it would be neither fear nor greed, but the desire like Jesus – to obey fully His Heavenly Father – everything that He has assigned you today, so that you will walk in the good that He has for you. Two of my favorite words ever. What If? What if you remembered today - the everlasting love that God has for you? What if you walked in His lovingkindness today? What if you worked for Him alone – with all your heart – in the joy that He gives? What if you really lived in PiVAT today? - confirming with Him what He has for you in this hour. What if you would overchoose His presence today… coming back to worship and more PRISM time with Him, choosing it over other things you could choose? What if you would overpraise today? To speak out loud who He is and what He has done, more often than you’d normally do? What if you were drawn by his infinite love for you? What if you obeyed no matter what He said. What if you gave your testimony today – just what God did and is doing, to one more person than you would normally engage? What if you helped them discover their testimony, what God has done for them? Praying that you would be fully submerged in His love for you today – fully walking in every step that He has. There is good waiting there. Beyond what you would even imagine. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me of some things, and showing me some things. Everything God shows you is found in His Word – no matter if the source is direct or indirect. Praise God He is so faithful! I find it interesting in God’s Word – not only what it says, but what it doesn’t say. Hebrews 6:15 - And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. Are you waiting for something? Maybe something that He promised you, or promised those who Fear Him and Seek Him – like you are trying to do? Has it not come yet? Are you still waiting? “And so after waiting impatiently, Abraham received what was promised.” It doesn’t say that… Funny, when you stop sometimes and consider what God didn’t say. Would Abraham have received what was promised if he waited impatiently? The chapter doesn’t say. But it says that Abraham waited patiently. God spoke when He was 75 years old. And that baby was born when he was 100. I’m not real good at math, but it seems to be a 25 year wait. It says Abraham waited patiently. So how do you wait patiently? Please tell me it’s not gonna take 25 years! I hope not! I feel you! But waiting patiently doesn’t think of years, or time. Waiting patiently is waiting prayerfully, waiting thankfully, waiting praise-fully, hopefully, waiting faith-fully, waiting believe-fully, waiting serve-fully, waiting even joyfully, waiting purposefully. There are some other things God’s got for you right now. There may be some things coming that haven’t come yet, but He’s got something for you right now – in the meantime – in the in between time. When you become aware of that - you wait knowing that God is going to do it, He’s faithful, He said it, done deal. He knows how to bring it about, in fullness, in ripeness, in best-ness. He hasn’t forgotten, and He hasn’t forgotten you. Those who learn to wait patiently begin to wait on Him, not the thing, His presence, not the presents. They become just as happy with Him and delighted in Him in May or August, as they are on the morning of December 25th. When you can wait and be OK with it, when you can look forward to the next time with Him, more than the next thing from Him, even the thing that you’ve been waiting for... you begin to wait patiently – before you even know it. Praying for you – that you would be so busy seeking Him, and obeying the next thing… that what you’re waiting for – you’re OK - leaving it with Him. Fully trusting Him with the timing, because you’re so excited and consumed praising Him and walking in full obedience and joy in the middle of what He has for you right now, today, this week! So you know – that He will have the best for you then! Praying that PiVAT will consume you with hearing and following His Will. That PRISM will astound you daily – with how much He loves you, and is FOR you! and is teaching you and instructing you, and changing you! Praying that your Daily Call will become one testimony after another, and that your testimony will be your joy – in the waiting – and your overcoming! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you!
God reminding me of something recently. Proverbs 20:4 - A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing. So what is plowing? In Hebrews 10:11 – it says Judah plows. So what is Judah? Praise – the name Judah means praise. Praise Plows. What is plowing? – the starting point of everything. You don’t get the harvest without first plowing. You can’t even plant the seed, until you plow (or the birds will eat it, and the wind will blow it away). Praise plows. Are you looking for a harvest in your life? Plow first. Praise Plows. When Jehoshaphat sent the “praisers” out in front – God himself defeated the entire enemy army – before they even fired a shot. Praise plows – it goes first. When the Israelites set up camp – they did so in God’s prescribed order. And when they broke camp, the tribe of Judah always went first. Praise goes first, praise plows. Plows what? Not God’s soil. He’s not fallow or dormant. Praise plows your soil. It turns over dormant soil. Psalms 22:3 – But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel. When you praise, God inhabits it. He gets up off His throne and comes down to live in it – He shows up! – you see Him! And when God comes to live somewhere – what does He do? He speaks. His Word is the seed. Praise plows, so you can receive the seed, His Word. So you can get it inside you, receive it, so you believe it, so you can obey it, so obedience sprouts. Praise receives the seed, so the Word of God is planted, and obedience can be our response. Then God grows a harvest from it. So be sure to praise! It helps you receive the seed, so you can obey. Praise more, and God will speak more. His Word brings you His love, His direction, His instruction. You’ll know He loves you, you’ll know what He wants you to do, and you’ll know how to do it. Praise more, and God will speak more. Praise more, and you’ll obey more. Obey more and not only will you be more like Jesus, you will walk in His plans for you in joy and blessing that you would have never dreamed. You’ll get more to praise Him for! Praying that you will Overdose on Praise today. Maybe have a Praise Day. Every hour, in every moment – intentionally speak out loud one thing of His greatness, His kindness, His faithfulness. It will change your mind, it will change your day, it will grow your obedience, and it will establish your life – in the Good that He has for you. Love you all, dad |
