Love you all, praying for you.
In yesterday’s Daily Huddle we spoke of what God says is the beginning of success. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, all who follow His precepts have good understanding (good success). Praying for you - that you are obeying God with PiVAT today – trading the way that seems right to you – for the way that He has for you. So you get the joy that comes with it! The kind of joy that only comes through obedience! Praying that you are drawn to PRISM today – those five things you can do in His word, that transform your mind – and translate His will for you – so you can understand what He told you in PiVAT before dinner. (Romans 12:1-2) Praying that you are overcoming in your Daily Call. Walking with one other obeyer daily. (Hebrews 3:13) Obedience is contagious – testimony is contagious - so is the blessing that God brings. Today God reminded me of another truth – another promise that He has for you. Psalms 111:5 – He provides food to those who fear Him, he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown His people the power of His works, giving them the land of other nations. Everything God does – every work He performs is powerful. And that promise is so encouraging – a guarantee. Be sure of this – He provides food to those who fear Him! Not just natural food, but food of every kind. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes forth out of the mouth of God. Jesus said – my food is to do the will of the One who sent me. Not just what you have for breakfast, lunch and dinner today, but PiVAT before dinner is your food – it helps you do the will of Him who sent you! PRISM is your food – it soaks you in every word that comes forth out of the mouth of God. Ya gotta eat! Praise God you can be sure of this: The fear of the LORD is not only the beginning of wisdom and success. The Fear of the LORD is also the beginning of provision - everything you need - to glorify God, and fulfill your purpose. This is also the only way to have lasting joy, and fruit that remains in this life that God has given you! Praying that you will learn the fear of the LORD – the beginning of Wisdom and Provision. His Word is true, His promises are sure. Praying that you will take four minutes even now and listen to this PRISM Topic – You Are Not Fearing God For Nothing. It will enlighten His truth to your mind and heart and hope. Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you.
I just love the Forever Word of God. In the midst of opinions and confusion, It is timeless truth. It both defines, measures and facilitates success. It’s the only source of it, the original source, the foundation. All truth leads back to God’s Word – because God’s Word is truth – there is no lie in Him. That’s the other guy’s department, he’s the father of lies. So here’s what God says about success. Psalm 111:10 – The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. Three things are so glaring – who, follow, and precepts. First let’s identify the result: good understanding. Good – in the widest sense – to be or to make well, best, better, beautiful, bountiful, prosperous, well-favored - Good. Understanding – sekel <seh’kel> intelligence and by implication - success; discretion, knowledge, from sakal <saw’kal> to be or make or act intelligently – circumspect – which means – watchful on all sides, examining carefully all circumstances which could affect the outcome. This is God saying, "Here’s how to be successful, prosperous – it starts with the Fear of the LORD." But this verse clear says – it doesn’t apply to everyone. Only those who? Are you the who? Follow – seek after, and apply – His precepts (His commandments and principles intended to rule actions). So are you the who? Do you Fear God? Do you pursue it? Do you know and follow His precepts? Do you apply the ways of life – that God has given you in His Word? God’s principles apply to every area of life. But as usual, they are just the opposite. Man says work to get, God says work to give. Man says market yourself, God says let another praise you, not your own mouth. Man says – debt is a tool, God says debt is a curse. Man says the more money you have the more successful you will be. God says what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul. So do you know His precepts and principles – so you can follow them? The Fear of the LORD is the beginning - because when you fear God – you predetermine in humility to submit to His Word and His Will. Praying that you will Fear God - it begins your wisdom, it begins your success. There's no success without it. Follow His precepts! First you gotta know them. That’s why PiVAT and PRISM and your Daily Call are so important. PiVAT before dinner - lets you hear and obey His will for you - His plans for you each day - they are good! - full of success! PRISM – those five things you can do in His Word every day – helps you know His principles - it helps you smell the fake, so you can follow the authentic. And your Daily Call is important – God's design for you. Because if you are the who (you have decided to surrender your life to his best for you) and you know his precepts – (you’re PRISM time is soaking you in His word) and you have His clear game plan for you from PiVAT before dinner - then the Word of your Testimony on that Daily Call – helps you actually follow what God tells you and what He reveals. It’s how you overcome. Praying that you will review the Fear of The Lord Packet – there are some powerful truths and habits that will be for you – just like God promised - the beginning of wisdom. Praying that you will be the who – that fears God, that begins wisdom, that follows His will and His principles – so you are drowning in the good understanding and complete success that God wants to give you - in every area of your life! Love you all dad Love you all, praying for you.
Praise God - Sometimes He just lays it out there. What you Get, and Who He is! God showing me recently... (Praise God – Praying that you are in PRISM – those 5 things you can do each day in God’s Word. The more you do, the more you get. His WORD is life! It’s where abundance comes from – everything you need is found in His Presence, and given through His Word by the Holy Spirit.) I’m so thankful for the Word of God. Some books have systematic detailed instruction on how to live, how to think, and what to do, whether in relation to God or others. His Word covers every area of your life – with truth that leads to permanent success in every way. But I also love those mic-drop verses that just pretty much cover it. Two of my favorites just lay it out there. What you get, and who He is. Those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ – and give their life completely to him - Get stuff! You’re not following Him for nothing. And for those who commit their life to him, He is something to them. I Corinthians 1:3 – Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Wow! That pretty much sums it up. What if you had Grace and Peace? Grace: Power you didn’t have and favor you didn’t deserve. Power to say no to sin (anything that would displease or disappoint God), and power to accomplish everything you were created for and ordained to do – before the foundation of the world. And what if you had Peace – the complete rest and well being of mind, body, soul, and spirit? That about covers it. That’s what God has for you. Just stay in it. Isaiah 26:3 – you will keep him in complete peace whose mind is stayed (fixed) on you. But God also warns us, Jonah 2:8 – Those who observe lying vanities forfeit the grace that could be theirs. In other words, those who trust in, look to, seek after and pursue false things – lying vanities, those empty, vain things which are transitory and unsatisfactory – those things like money, fame, power, or pleasure – the things which never last, and never satisfy... forfeit the Grace – the power and favor that could be theirs. If your life is given to Jesus, who is the Word of God - you get stuff! But He also is stuff to you. Psalm 115:11 – You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD, He is their help and shield. Another version says Trust in the LORD, you who worship Him, He helps you and protects you. He is your help and shield. Not only does He give power you don’t have, and favor you don’t deserve, not only does He give you complete rest, prosperity and well being in every area of your life – but He’s your help and your shield. He helps you accomplish what you could never accomplish on your own, by your own ingenuity or strength, or effort - and He is your shield. He protects you from evil, from everything that would harm you. So what if you had Grace and Peace, what if He was your Help and your Shield? You have it! He gives it. And He is it! Praying that will always do PiVAT before dinner – so you walk in His plans for you – of grace, peace, help, and protection. Praying that PRISM throughout the day – is your priority over everything else. Time in His Word - will put your trust in Him! And Praying that you will be faithful with your Daily Call – God’s specific command for you in Hebrews 3:13 walking with one other, giving your testimony that helps you to overcome! Praise God He has Grace and Peace for you today! and He most definitely is your Help and your Shield! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
God reminding me recently. “I can speak through anybody.” God has two words. Logos and Rhema. Logos is his written Word – through the cannon of Scripture. Rhema is the Holy Spirit’s still small voice in your spirit. But He also speaks through the counsel – even the testimony of others. He can speak through donkey’s He can certainly speak through obeyers. Praying that you are in His Word Daily – PRISM will put you there – where the Holy Spirit brings His Word to life – for your present instruction in your current situation. Praying that you are faithful in PiVAT before dinner – and PiVAT Weekly on Sunday - that’s Rhema Word from the Holy Spirit – delivering God’s plans for you for tomorrow, for this week, and this month. Praying that you are in a Daily Call – obeying Hebrews 3:13 – not only will you be overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony – you will be overcoming by theirs too! There’s nothing like the revelation, and inspiration that God can give you through obeyers. Your Daily Call puts you in the direct counsel of an obeyer. Sometimes the best counsel you can receive – isn’t even counsel… it’s testimony. Watching others obey, and hearing and seeing the testimony that God gives them – what He does in response to their obedience - is challenging, compelling, life-altering - if you apply what they're doing. I’m walking with a young man – who along with His wife – are becoming obeyers at a ridiculous level. Doing things God tells them, even if some people think it's foolish. They’re making decisions – not on blind faith – but on the Word of God - Holy Spirit led direction - which in faith is taking them to new places. Sometimes what God tells you is not easy, it’s not familiar – but obedience always moves you forward. My friend made an interesting statement. (Praying that you are using your Conversation Log – for your Daily Calls - letting God speak through whomever and whatever He wants… Praying that you Value God’s Word enough to write it down – no matter form it comes in.) My friend said this… “If I don’t obey – now I’m just living in the chaos of disobedience." How true is that. Disobedience always brings chaos… Where there is chaos - there is often disobedience. (Chaos – any mixed mass without due form or order, as in a chaos of materials. Chaos - confusion, disorder, a state in which the parts are undistinguished. Disobedience always brings mess, and mess always brings stress. Disobedience brings confusion and disorder. Confusion because if you don’t obey, or obey fully – God is still waiting, while you think He's saying something more. Sometimes He’s just waiting for you to do what He said. You don’t get more, until you do the first thing. Sometimes when God is waiting, we can start assuming. Often when God is not speaking, but waiting (on our obedience) we think what we’re hearing is Him, when it’s not. That’s confusing. Disobedience always brings confusion and disorder. So… is their any confusion, or disorder in your life? Is there an area that's a mess? Messed up? Not really in order? It could be natural, or relational, or spiritual. If you allow a decision or two of disobedience, or delayed obedience. If you’re faithful in somethings, but unfaithful in others. Confusion and disorder can remain. It prevents your progress, it delays your deliverance, it backlogs your blessing. And God always starts with the little, first. The things people think don't really matter. First obey in the little, the natural, the seemingly unspiritual, or unimportant, and God can entrust you with the bigger things. Luke 16:10-11. Praying that obedience will be a passion and a joy – that you will ask God – even in the little things – God am I fully obeying you in this area of my life? Forgive me LORD, and would you tell me the first step to take from here? I will take it immediately - I want to be on that path of obedience - not matter what it costs. Praise God! His mercy is forever, His grace is sufficient. If you notice an area that has chaos in your life,,, disorder, confusion – chances are you are not obeying or obeying completely in something. If so, your thinking might be clouded, you don’t value the little things that God values. If you find yourself thinking – that doesn’t matter – a little white lie, a little delay, a little mess, to busy to pray today, just 5 minutes late, just venting a little, not complaining, just explaining… the things you consider as minor – might not be minor to God. Hebrews 3:5 – And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant – for a testimony of what would be said later. Praying that you will be faithful in all your house – everything that He has entrusted to you. Because it’s God’s house – not just the physical, but the spiritual, and the relational – whatever He has entrusted to you. Praying that you will be humble, honest, and resolved to do the first thing God tells you. Whether dip seven times, or go back and say thank you, or go the extra mile, or pull the weeds and fix the fence. Praying that you will be resolute to establish the habits that help you obey fully! You will see God replace chaos with order, confusion with clarity, delays with progress, and backlogs with blessing! He loves you – all His plans for you are GOOD! You can trust Him! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
God reminding me recently. The most powerful two words in the English Language – What If? and I Will. What If? - These two words were designed by God to open your heart, mind and spirit – to the possibilities of what God can do. He power is limitless – limited only by the extent of your obedience. What if you knew the power of What if? What if you asked God the What If that He has for you? What if I finally obeyed in this area? What If I completely fasted television, social media and Fortnight or Call of Duty until I fully obeyed God in the thing He has been telling me to do – but I haven’t done yet? What if I really – did PiVAT before dinner for seven days in a row before I even walked in the door and hugged my spouse and the kids? What if I started my PRISM first thing in the morning – and throughout the day… Those five things I could do every day in God's Word… What if I did Praise the Word the moment my feet hit the floor? What if I then did my Insight from the Word, my Proverbs Chapter for today? – so God can give me that specific wisdom that I need today to respond to what He knows I will face in just a few hours – with His Holy Spirit response – rather than my natural one. What if I relaunched my Daily Call – that we’ve missed the last two days? Or What if I asked a friend to do a Three-Day-Challenge with me to see what God could do - when our hearts are fully devoted to Him? What if I decided to refuse debt, and trust in the LORD with all my heart, instead of taking that loan – and becoming enslaved to the lender – that God calls a curse? What if I sold the car, no matter what took - to get out of those chains – or got a cheaper apartment, or got a roommate – so I could increase my ability to pay off every last debt – so the only debt I now owe – is love? Romans 13:8. What if I finally called Kelly and April, to help me start my 4C’s Accounting Tool – so I actually know where God’s money is – so I can ask Him what He wants me to do with it. What if I fully obeyed in the next thing God told me to do – and walked with someone in a Daily Call – obeying Hebrews 3:13 - and overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of my testimony? What if... ? Are you using those two words – that God ordained for your blessing and victory? Be careful… Don’t let the devil steal them. He’ll try to get you to use those same two words to become enslaved by either greed, or even more often - fear, doubt and unbelief. See the PRISM Topic – Fear Not, The PRISM Topic – Do Not Fret, and the PRISM Topic – Speak Life. Read them out loud! Declare them with your mouth, so they take root in your life! The next two words – perhaps even more powerful than what if? - I Will. David mastered the obedience of God’s purpose of these two words. He used them all the time. I will bless the LORD at all times – His PRAISE will continually be in my mouth! David knew the power God created these two words for. His mouth committed his hands and feet. These two words will launch your obedience. They will guard and protect it. And you will see what God will do for the one whose heart is fully devoted to obeying His Word. Psalms 71:14-15 - As for me I will always have hope – I will praise you more and more, my mouth will tell of your righteousness and your salvation all day long, though I know not it’s measure.” Praying that you will know the power that God places in two words. What If, and I Will. Praying that God will lead you in using these two words – according to his Eternal WORD to establish your life in victory – and impact your children and your children’s children. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
Sometimes what is recorded in God’s Word – is not true. Never is God’s Word not true, but God’s Word also records the words and deeds of men – as well as of God. Chapters in Job where his worthless friends talking of their own wisdom – yet God rebuked them – “They have not spoken of me what is right.” Praise God for His Holy Spirit! – Praying that you will not only receive the Holy Spirit – but walk in Him, pray in the Spirit – and humbly submit your life, and thoughts and mind – to His leading. John 16:13 - The Holy Spirit is the One who leads us in all truth. The Holy Spirit is how we understand truth. Just like you can do PiVAT and PRISM with your mind – your natural understanding, or you can do PiVAT and PRISM by the Holy Spirit of God – leading you in His understanding. Every time you do PRISM - ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in all truth. Be sure – this is the will of God, and He will surely do it. Humility required. Humility and the Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Here’s what Solomon said. Ecclesiastes 1:18 – For with much wisdom comes much sorrow, the more knowledge, the more grief. That’s an interesting perspective – of a man that walked not – in the wisdom God gave him. First if you as Solomon “applied yourself to the understanding of wisdom, and the understanding of madness and folly” then you lack wisdom – or at the very least are not choosing to walk in it. Wisdom says - turn from evil. All He had to do was read what his Father David wrote – and He would have known the heart of God. Psalm 34:14 – Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. (it didn't say seek madness and folly and pursue it - there's a lot of madness and folly out there to pursue. And Solomon did.) Even the Proverbs that Solomon wrote, the wisdom that God gave him said: Proverbs 8:13 - The fear of the LORD is to turn from evil. Have nothing to do with even the appearance of it. Not apply yourself to the understanding of it. Solomon lacked obedience. So he says, the more knowledge the more grief. It depends on what that knowledge is of... When Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – he got more knowledge - but it brought grief and destruction. Knowledge of God never brings grief (except over the sins of men). Knowledge of God, His Love, His Mercy, His Forgiveness – brings joy! The more knowledge of God you have – the more joy. He makes us full of Joy in His presence. If more knowledge means more grief, then when we see Him face to face, when we "know as we are fully known" – then heaven would be a place of grief. But there is no grief or sorrow in heaven, He wipes every tear from their eyes. What knowledge are you pursuing? And what knowledge are you avoiding? Are you pursuing the knowledge of God, the wisdom of God, or the knowledge and wisdom of men and all that sin has contaminated? There is a wisdom that is not from God. I Corinthians 3:19 – for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight… Paul’s preaching didn’t come by human wisdom – I Corinthians 2:15 – so your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. If God said "Above all else, get wisdom." – It’s not so we would grow in grief… but into His likeness and there is always joy that comes in His presence. Solomon’s wisdom, wasn't his lifestyle. Solomon was a disobeyer, He chose not to walk in the wisdom God gave him. So in the end he was deceived and disillusioned. He loved foreign women more than He loved God – they led him astray – and all Israel with him. Solomon’s disobedience led to the exile of Israel from the promised land. If only Solomon had obeyed the Word of God through His father David. Psalm 37:3 - Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and truly you shall be fed. Praying for you – that you will pursue good - the knowledge of God. Praying that you will not be discouraged by disobeyers like Solomon, and the things they do or say. Praying that you will ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth (in your PRISM time) to reveal the truth of His Word, not man’s interpretation. Praying that you would obey immediately before you even have a chance to consider otherwise. Praying for you - that you would never be discouraged by disobeyers – but Walk Daily with an obeyer – overcoming by the word of your testimony – and growing in the joy that the wisdom of God brings. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
God reminding me of the power of two. His principle of two by two – is an overcoming principle. It is a foundation of victory in your life. Ecclesiastes 4:9 - Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: That’s why I pray that you are so faithful every day in your Daily Call – Ecclesiastes 4:12 – though one may be overcome by an adversary, two can withstand him. And a cord of three strands is not easily broken. The Holy Spirit is always that third strand in your Daily Call. You notice every time you pray for each other – when the Holy Spirit takes over – and you pray the will of God for them by His Spirit - His word of encouragement, and blessing, His truth and life - it becomes obvious. Praying that if you are not walking in a Daily Call right now – that you would ask God who He wants you to invite – even to a Three Day Challenge. Let the Holy Spirit speak, obedience always brings blessing. And every time you walk two by two – you will overcome! Your faith and your obedience – will encourage and challenge them, and theirs will do the same for you. You will grow! Praying that you will walk with one-other in every season. Recently I had to take a break for some days due to heavy work commitment, but the day I started back in my Daily Call was so extremely different. God speaking and encouraging and confirming like crazy. He knows what He’s talking about – Hebrews 3:13 – But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Two-gether is God’s will for you – His designed purpose and protection for you – but also an acceleration for you as well. It's what He has ordained for your overcoming victory! Two are better than one – He sent out his disciples two by two. It’s what He has for you – no doubt. Praying that you will walk with someone daily. It’s life giving – it’s overcoming. Irreplaceable. It’s how you get established in the good He has for you. God reminded me of one more thing. Have a Two-gether Day. Let the Holy Spirit work through the power of two today. Several things you can do two-gether with someone, just invite them. PiVAT before dinner. Do PiVAT before dinner with a friend. Just take 5 minutes and Do PiVAT for tomorrow. Then share quickly and pray for each other – even if it’s not your Daily Call Partner – it will be a bonus for you! Next Do PRISM twogether with someone. or just one part of it! Just invite someone to take five or ten minutes with you - maybe even in a car ride, or just get away in a conference room. Just Praise the Word with them. It’s powerful - because it's His Word - and your obedience. Just take turns Praising His Word through one verse, or rotate verses. The Holy Spirit will take over. It will impact your day. Two are better than one. You could Read the Word together – just rotate reading through a chapter. Insight from the Word – Read today’s Proverbs Chapter – rotating every five verses. Study the Word – twogether. Let the LORD prompt you as to which verse., and both of you SOAP it out, share what the Holy Spirit revealed, and pray that verse, their Observation, and their Application over them, and they over you. Pick a PRISM Topic from hearwelldone.org – for your Meditate on the Word - twogether. Like PRISM Topic - Life Purpose And Direction, or PRISM Topic - What Does God Give - or PRISM Topic- Kindness, or PRISM Topic – Listen --- Read through it together – and Pray His Word over each other! Another Twogether that you can do – trade PiVAT Prayer Lists – You pray theirs over them, and let them pray yours over you. If you have a 4C’s Accounting Tool – if you now know where God’s Money is – and are giving an account daily, and asking Him what to do with it. Do your 4C’s Accounting Tool together. Seek Counsel from each other – and pray for their complete obedience financially. There are spiritual rewards! Finally PRISM Topic – Scriptural Prayers for those you love – Pray this Word of God over each other. - it's powerful! Anytime you choose to do PiVAT, PRISM, or 4C’s, or PRISM Topics twogether with someone – either praising the Word or praying the Word over them - twogether – God will add a blessing - an INCREASE! Praying that God’s secret weapon for you to grow in the joy of obedience – walking two-gether with someone – will take root and become a lifelong habit in you. You will be greatly encouraged, your obedience will grow, your joy will grow, your testimony will grow – your victory will grow! That’s what always happens when we simply obey His Word! Praying that you will walk two-gether with someone today – in His Word and in the joy that He gives. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
It’s amazing to me that after this week only six weeks remain for the year. A recent football game had an interesting wrinkle on the kickoff. They lined up their fastest player almost next to the kicker. Both young men started their motion at the same time, and by the time the kicker’s foot launched the ball, the fastest player had reached the line of scrimmage already traveling at full speed. That’s what getting a head start looks like. God gives all of us the final few weeks of the year – not only to finish completely what He told us to do this year in PiVAT Yearly – but also to get a head start on the coming year - to make sure we are fully operating in those things that enable us to hit the starting line at full speed. Praying that these next few weeks – you will first review what God has for you to complete this year – so you finish strong! but also that you will be consistent in those things that will have you operating in full motion for the coming year. There are four tools which can really help you do this. First I’m praying that you are faithful in your Conversation Log – not a journal in which you capture your ideas, but a Conversation Log – which captures every conversation you have with God, yourself or others – through which God confirms His Word and His Will for you. Praying that you will review that Relationship Topic – Conversation Log – as well as the PRISM Topic - Give an Account and the PRISM Topic - Write It Down. The four tools that make that four-legged stool are PiVAT before dinner (to get His plans for you) PRISM throughout the day (to understand the Plans He revealed), a 4C’s Accounting Tool to give an account, to know where God's money is so you can obey with it, and finally – your Daily Call – so you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. These four things and your Conversation Log – for what God speaks – will help you already be operating at full speed entering the coming year. There is always joy in God’s plans for you, His Words for you, His spending decisions for you, and His Testimony for you! Praying that you will Give an Account – and Write Down what He speaks and what He does – so you can fully obey what He he told you this year - and what He has for you in the year to come. Praying that you are greatly encouraged, and overflowing with the joy that always comes with obeying. Can't wait to see the Good that He has for you! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
Have you ever been up at night? Can’t sleep, mind racing? Exhausted, need the sleep, but can’t sleep? Other than medical – I’m not a doctor… I’ve noticed two reasons people are up at night. #1 God is trying to tell them something, or #2 The devil is trying to tell them something - to steal their sleep. That’s what He does – He comes to steal, kill and destroy anything good that God has for you. Jesus comes to give life. First, what does God have for you? Sleep. Psalm 127:2 - for he gives sleep to those He loves… another version says, for He gives his beloved – sleep. David said - Psalms 4:8 – I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD make me dwell in safety. David is telling himself his choice. I will – He has already decided what he will do, and by his own mouth – he commits himself to it. I will lie down and sleep in peace (complete rest - of mind, body and soul). Why? Self-determination? No, the source. For YOU, alone, O LORD, make me to (cause me to, allow me to – by your power and authority enable me to), dwell in safety. Safety of mind, body and soul! When the prince of peace is in you, when Jesus is in the boat – you sleep when the storm rages, you rest when others stress, you are at peace when there is turmoil all around you. The one who speaks to the wind and the waves – is the one who gives you sleep. For you alone, O LORD. There is a relational element required to live in that truth. Is He LORD? Not just over all, but over you? First check the obvious – is there un-confessed sin in your life? That’ll keep you up at night. Is there something God told you to do that you haven’t done? No wonder you can’t sleep. Isaiah 57:20 – But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest… Who are the wicked? Those who act wickedly, not in obedience. Who's the wicked? Not the other guy… me, if I act wickedly. Other translations confirm this… “But the unrighteous shall be tossed and troubled as waves, and shall not be able to rest.” ““But those who still reject me (what God tells them) are like the restless sea, which is never still but continually churns up mud and dirt.” Just simply ask God – Have I not obeyed something you said? He will tell you. He may even have you get up and do it – or cease the doing of it. But it could just be the devil trying to steal your sleep – that’s when you declare God’s Word – I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD – make me dwell in safety. Thank you LORD, for giving me rest. I receive it in Jesus' Name. Then – let him give it. But sometimes you can’t sleep – because God is trying to tell you something. Joseph couldn’t sleep – God woke him in the middle of the night – to take that child to Egypt – because Herod was trying to kill him. Sometimes God just has something for you – that He speaks in the night season – when He can get your attention, when you are not talking, or planning or striving! Praise God! Write It Down! Right now! You won’t sleep until you do, or worse yet, if you don’t write it down, you won’t remember it in the morning. Value what God says enough to write it down! Keep your Conversation Log – on your night stand. At least a scratch pad to transfer later to your Conversation Log. Samuel heard God speak in the middle of the night. It was his habit to not let one Word – fall to the ground – that’s why God continued to appear to Samuel at Shiloh. Praying that you will always be in the boat with Jesus – that the Prince of Peace will give you sleep. Praying that you would ask Him – to be sure no sin gives the devil access to steal your rest. Praying that you will review the PRISM Topic – Write It Down, so you would develop the never-miss habit of writing down what He says to you – even in the night season. Praying that you will speak God’s Word with your mouth – I will lie down and sleep in peace – for you alone O LORD, make me dwell in safety. And finally – praying that you will drawn to PRISM – five things you can do every day in God’s word. Just another example of "the thing that brings the thing." Proverbs 3:21 – My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Praying that Full Obedience, Declaring His Promise, Writing down what He speaks, and soaking in His WORD - will let the LORD of all – and the LORD of you! - give you sleep... the rest that He has for those He loves. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
O Heavenly Father – the One who shows no favoritism, but grants favor to all who call on Your Name, who Fear You, and obey your word. Would you make each one who reads these words – a man of prayer, a woman of prayer - like David, like Moses, Like Elijah, like Jesus – In Jesus Name. What if this coming year - you became a man or woman of prayer? Not your prayers – but His prayers for you. What could God do through your obedience? What if you started doing it now - even before the new year begins – so when the ball drops – you will already have hit the ground running? Praying that you will review the PRISM Topic Packet – Prayer. Part of that packet is the Relationship Topic – PiVAT Prayer List. In everything in life, even in prayer – there is God’s Way and Man’s Way. Praying that God might encourage and enable you as you are becoming men and women of prayer – with this practical tool. On my PiVAT Prayer List – every section changes. Each month God amazes me with His answers to prayer. Every one isn’t answered every month – some are there for two months even three – But God reveals the beauty of His timing – and the ways He answers that are beyond what I could have imagined. He’s faithful! He’s the God who answers prayer - prayer after prayer. He’s helping me discern what He wants me to pray, not what I want to pray. Those prayers will make a difference. A section at the bottom of your PiVAT Prayer List - is called Long Term Prayer requests. I felt prompted today to share what I pray for you. For April and I, for our children and grandchildren, and the children who are yet to come. For those we love, and walk together with, for all who are learning to walk in the joy of daily obedience. This is what I pray for you – every time I pray through my PIVAT Prayer List God has given me. That you would walk in Humility; that you would be an obeyer like Jesus – every day of your life; that God would teach you the Fear of the LORD; that you would pray in the Spirit -building yourself up in your most holy faith; that your priority each day would be His presence, PiVAT, PRISM, and Praise; that you would use your words to fill your heart; that you would be fervent and effectual in prayer; that you would be thankful in hope (not fear); that you would be Men of Issachar – who understand the times and know what God’s people should do; that you would add value every day at work, and every place you go (that you would always give more than you are getting paid; that you would never choose the curse of debt – that you would have zero debt – for your entire life and your children and your children’s children - only the debt to love one another; that God would give you a job you love, that you would do even if you didn’t get paid, that not everyone can do, that pays enough to provide for your needs, and extra to sow into others; That you would be hilarious givers, that you would have a Daily Call for the rest of your life – where you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony! That the LORD would fulfill His purpose for you. That you like David would fulfill your purpose in your generation. That you will walk all the days of your life in the joy that obedience brings, and that you would take someone with you – that you would Win Souls to the salvation and obedience of Christ. And finally - that God would help you turn from every thing He did not tell you to do in this hour. Love you all, dad |
