Love you all, praying for you…
Did you know how important today is? Hugely important. His mercy met you this morning, He woke you up in your right mind, He gave you health and strength and hope, strength for the journey, peace for the walking in, promise and plans for your good. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. This is a significant day! This could be a day that changes everything, that changes and establishes the rest of your life! Do you know His plans for you for today? If you didn’t do PiVAT before dinner last night – those four questions that you can ask Him that will reveal what He has planned for you today… that purposeful mental separation between His plans over yours, and His To Do’s instead of yours. That intentional writing down of the testimony of what He did and revealed yesterday, Those things that He wants for you today, and those things that He wants for you to wait for until another day. If you didn’t do that before dinner last night, so He could confirm it with His counsel in the night season… just do it right now. Take five minutes in a quiet place, or in worship, that place of praise, and ask Him, He will tell you. What will He start in you today? What will He continue in you today? What will He complete in you today. What will He call you to and encourage you in today? Praying that you will come back to PRISM, time and time again, this day. Those five things you can do and come back to every day in His Word. Well, my day is crazy busy… So... it only takes a minute. Review a PRISM Topic, Praise the Word through One Verse. Just Read a chapter or a section. You can do it at a traffic light, one verse out of that Proverbs chapter for today might be the wisdom you need for this next conversation. Every time you Choose PRISM – God can fill you with wisdom for today, with His thoughts to replace yours. Your joy will be full, your response will be better, you’ll be humble, you’ll be hopeful, you’ll be effective, He’ll make you significant. He will use you, change you, fulfill you, and complete you. Praying that you will overcome today with your testimony, with your surrender, with your choice to choose Him, His Word, His Plans, His Praise, His Presence… Today could change your life forever! Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you…
I just love God’s Word. It’s so real. It pulls no punches. It tells it like it is, the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s relatable, sometimes it resembles you… it’s convicting. Matthew 16:22 – Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, “Never LORD!” he said, “This shall never happen to you.” You see, Jesus was telling His disciples that he must suffer many things at the hands of the Pharisees and elders and be killed in Jerusalem. And Peter with his good intentions, in his infinite wisdom, took God aside because he needed to correct him, “This will never happen to you!” Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get thee behind me Satan. You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Ouch. That wasn’t a very nice thing to say, that probably hurt Peter’s feelings. Jesus wasn’t being unkind, he was being direct. Peter’s good intentions didn’t matter. The ideas in his head, what he thought was right and wrong, his desires and expectations for God, were opposite of what God wanted to do. When we think and then say things that are not what God is doing, it can even be like the voice of Satan. Things different from God’s will and God’s plan is what Satan speaks. Peter never intentionally did it, He just didn’t ask and didn’t understand what God was doing, and started speaking for the enemy, instead of speaking for God. So what is God doing that you don’t agree with? Or don’t understand, or are unaware of – and so you’re speaking something different? Peter was wanting what was best for Jesus… It’s just that he didn’t know what was best. He wasn’t wanting best, he was wanting least resistance. Sometimes resistance is a closed door, other times resistance is the path to progress, the crucible that refines. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the difference between the two. You need God’s Word and The Holy Spirit to reveal it. And it won’t be what you think, or what comes naturally… You need LOGOS by the Spirit of God, and Rhema by the Spirit of God – so your words speak for Him. Jesus said the key was your mind. Your mind will either be on the things of God, or the things of man. And only getting the mind of Christ can reveal this to you by the Holy Spirit. Praying that your appetite for His Word will increase. That before you say things, or take sides, you know by the Holy Spirit what side God is on, what His will is, what He is about to do. Praying that you will choose His Word – more and more – That PRISM will become your greatest joy, and worship your greatest pleasure… that the more you get of Him, the more your mind is transformed, so you always speak for Him. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
Have you ever seen a young father holding his son, and you would swear it’s a clone, spitting image. They look exactly alike, same eyes, same face, same head, same haircut, same clothes, same shoes. It’s like a hotwheel of a Chevy Camaro – perfect replica just a lot smaller. When they’re young - its looks and clothes, but as they get older it’s words and actions. Some kids are just like their father, same laugh, same work ethic, same skillset – He’s just like His dad. As they get older, the ones that bear the most resemblance are the ones that spend the most time together. The kid loves to work on cars, because he was always in the garage with his dad. Jesus was like that His whole life on earth. He spent a lot of time with his Heavenly Father. Other kids don’t, like the prodigal son. They had little use for their father – they wanted his money, but not the relationship. They were more influenced by other people, and other fathers. They think and talk and act like them. They bear little resemblance to their own father. Jesus was different, He always was with His Father. That’s why he could say – “I only say what my Father says, and I only do what my Father does.” How did that happen? Humility and Obedience – the hallmarks of His life, and Time Spent. He only said what His Father said, because he knew what His Father was saying. He only did what his Father did, because He knew what His Father was doing. You have a unique advantage. Your Father is the greatest father ever. He is perfect in knowledge and power, in truth and wisdom, in love and understanding. He is not selfish or cruel, He’s kind and compassionate, and He’s loaded, wealthy. He’s the Owner and Controller of everything. He’s the kind of Father that you want to be like. Have you ever gotten upset recently? Things didn’t work right, the printer was broke, the car broke down, the furnace didn’t work, the ref made the wrong call. Did you act like your father? Or someone elses? What upsets you? Does your Father ever get upset? He gets angry – at sin, and those who persist in it – despite His patience and longsuffering… Eventually His righteous anger will arise, but He doesn’t get upset. He knows the bigger picture, He’s in complete control, He does whatever He wants whenever He wants to. What if you knew the power and authority of your Father? What if you knew He was working things out for your good? The more time you spend with Him… the more you know… It’s good to consider every once in a while… How much do you look like your Father? Are His thoughts your thoughts? Are His Words your words? Are His reactions, your reactions? Is your hope His hope, and your faith in His promise? Praying that you will be drawn to your Father every day, that you’d rather spend time with Him than anything else. PRISM will teach you what He is saying – right now, in this situation. PiVAT before dinner will direct you in what He is doing and what He wants you to do – today. Your Daily Call – will sharpen you, to help you overcome the enemy who wants to erode the resemblance. Praying that your love for your Father will grow through the time you spend with Him, so that you will be – like Father like Son. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
I just love God’s Word. It exposes the difference between His way and man’s way, His thoughts and our thoughts. His reactions, and our reactions. Psalms 17:8 – Keep me as the apple of your eye, hide me in the shadow of your wings. Are you the apple of His eye? What are the things you must do and what are the things you must not do… to be the apple of His eye? Do you know the list? What a human reaction! what a human thought process. That’s the difference between the wisdom of the world and the wisdom of God. Did you notice how easy it is to ask the wrong questions? Wisdom asks the right questions. These are human questions, not Spirit questions. That is an old covenant response – as if the law – the list of do’s and don’ts can justify us before God. They wont – the list wont help – because even if you knew the real list, you couldn’t do it. Many have tried. That’s not what makes you the apple of His eye – that’s why He sent Jesus. Name one person who was the apple of God’s eye because of what they did? Not even Abraham was. God said it was his faith that counted him righteous, and his actions just rose out of his faith. His faith didn’t rise out of his actions. This verse reveals secrets… many do. The first half is answered in the second. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. It’s proximity! If you are constantly coming to Him, hiding in Him, in His Word (your PRISM time) in conversation (your Prayer time) and in adoration (your Worship time) – you’re close enough to be hidden under the shadow of His wings. That’s what makes you the apple of his eye – his treasured possession. It’s who you belong to and where you are, not what you do. What you do just flows out of where you’ve been. The Bible says – they could tell these men had been with Jesus. It’s proximity – just come and you’ll get some. The closer you are to Him, the more you are hidden in Him. It’s how He keeps you as the apple of His eye – his treasured possession. All the do’s and don’ts are immaterial at this point – from this position… If you stay close to Him, He leads you in the do’s and you’re not even thinking about the don’ts. It’s relationship not performance, and only because of what Jesus did! Nothing you could ever do or not do could create the invitation you now have – to be with Him. So what’s your day like? You probably have many things you think you need to do. Some obligations are unavoidable. Praying that you will be in constant conversation and adoration with Him today in PRISM, Prayer and Worship. Between appointments, just go to Him. Get His wisdom, His insight, His mind and His Words. He will take you through any fire, and lead you in green pastures, beside still waters – even in the middle of a busy day. He will lead you and guide you, protect you and provide for you. He will increase you and bless you, and He will use you to display His glory! So your life shines His light and the love He has for those around you. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
Have you ever noticed when people talk, how revealing it is? What people say reveals what’s in their heart, what and how they think, and what influences them, what they feed on. I love hearing experts talk. Not pseudo experts – those who talk but don’t do… who teach others but have never done it themselves. But true experts – Super Bowl Champions, Company Builders, Parents whose kids aren’t little terrors, but are respectful, diligent, successful – those who aren’t experts in theory, but experts in practice. I love it when they talk. That’s part of why God wrote the Bible – His Word inspired in the heart and pen and personal experience of authors who heard His voice, and followed His ways. David is one of them. Psalms 17:4-5 – As for the deeds of men, by the Word of your lips, I have kept myself from the ways of the destroyer. My steps have held to your paths, my feet have not slipped. David is talking about slipping, how easy it is to find your feet on unsteady ground, precarious. He’s talking about, how easy it is to lose everything you’ve worked for, to lose your way, and lose your life. And he gives the secret – don’t lose your mind, or you’ll lose your way. Transform your mind, keep it focused so you don’t lose it. He said regarding the things that men do… By God’s Word, the Word that comes out of the mouth of the Almighty in wisdom and power, in truth and authority, I have kept myself (saved myself) from walking in the ways (the paths, the habits, the mindset and thought patterns) of the destroyer (the robber, the one who tears down and brings things to ruin – the ways of sin). David is that Super Bowl Champion – that Hall of Famer – that when interviewed can’t help but reveal his secrets – that formed the way he thinks, that set the patterns of his mental and physical preparation. What Vince Lombardi said, “It’s not the will to win, it’s the will to prepare to win.” David reveals his mindset, he gives his secret, his preparation… It’s simply God’s Word – Always reading it, always saying it, always doing it, quickly obeying it – that’s how I have kept myself from slipping and falling. Reading it, Thinking it, Saying it, Obeying it – that is how have held to God’s ways and His paths. That’s how I got to be successful, and stayed successful over time. The difference between the one hit wonder, and the perennial chart-topper, the difference between one ring, and six rings. It’s like the great golfers of history. Anyone can shoot a great round, it’s those who are consistent every round, the ones who always make the cut, they limit their bad shots, they become consistent with good shots, so their great shots give them a chance to win tournaments, it’s how they stay at the top – over time. Praying that you will know David’s secret, that PRISM will be your lifelong habit. Those five things you can do in God’s Word every day, day after day, year after year, so your feet don’t slip, they rise. So God can bring you from grace to grace, and glory to glory… So what He revealed in His word – becomes what you reveal in your life. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
I just love God’s Word. It reveals the awesome, unmatched and unstoppable power of God. It reveals that the battle belongs to the LORD. But I’m also so very thankful that it reveals an enemy – who is the father of lies and the master of deception. God’s Word gives us wisdom about battles. What to expect, the plans of the enemy and the schemes He tries. What battle are you in right now? The battle belongs to the LORD! But wisdom is required. Not every battle belongs to the LORD, because not every battle is His battle. What battle are you in? Is it the battle that the LORD is fighting, or just you? Is it the battle He has called you to, or just a fight that you are fighting? You can claim his victory all day long – but if it’s not a battle that He has chosen, you’re fighting on your own, and you might even be fighting against Him. Gamaliel gave sound advice to the Sanhedrin. Be careful what you do to these men. Remember, so and so who led a rebellion? What happened to him? He was killed and all his followers with him. So be careful what you do to them, because if this is of man, it will die out, but if it’s from God, you cannot stop it, and you may even find yourself fighting against God. When it comes to battles – the Battles of the LORD belong to the LORD, but the battles of men belong to them. Praying that you will fight His battles, not yours. God says many advisors make victory sure. Before you go into battle, get Godly counsel. Take a step back. Who is fighting with you? and who is fighting against you. If you ever wonder if you are on the right side, and you should, one clear indicator is – who is standing with you? If all the wicked are on your side, those who oppose the things of God and the Word of God – you are probably on the wrong side. Jehoshaphat had a compassionate heart, and he had a desire for all of Israel to be unified. Was this not God’s Desire? God never wanted the kingdom to be divided, wasn’t God for the unity of all Israel? Some people put unity as a higher priority above the commands the plans and the will of God. It’s a false righteousness – when God says - what fellowship can light have with darkness? God doesn’t want you in unity with everybody. He isn’t. God was about to destroy the house of Ahab and the house of Jezabel, and this King Jehoshophat a godly king, had good intentions, but no wisdom. He was trying to join with what God wasn’t joined with… His good intentions didn’t matter. He would take his family to visit Ahab and Jezabel, they would vacation together – taking his family, his children, joining light with darkness in the name of unity – with dire generational consequence. But then when Ahab went to battle – Jehoshaphat brought the armies of Judah to support him. When Jehoshaphat asked to seek the will of God, Ahab didn’t like that prophet cause he never said anything good. Jehoshaphat gently chided him, but when the prophet decreed destruction on this campaign, Jehoshaphat went along anyway. Ahab dressed up like a normal soldier and encouraged Jehoshaphat to dress like a king. And Jehoshaphat didn’t recognize the stupidity of this plan? Ahab was a lot smarter than Jehoshaphat. And when they went out to battle… the enemy ignored everyone else and focused their entire army against Jehoshaphat’s chariot. He cried out in fear to God, and would have lost his life if God hadn’t saved him. Additionally, He lost millions of dollars on a joint venture Navy with Ahab which never even set sail because God destroyed it before it even left the harbor! Fighting battles that aren’t God’s is always costly – sometimes more than you can afford to pay. Jehoshaphat’s Godly line, one of his daughters married into Ahab’s family, and both kingdoms came under God’s judgment. Some of those family vacations sparked some interest in the young people, and it resulted in the loss of a family line. So is this battle of yours? The battle that belongs to the LORD? In your own life… are you fighting a battle that God isn’t fighting? Are you pursuing a relationship that God doesn’t have for you? Are you trying to push through a door that God has closed, are you charging a windmill that God isn’t charging? God needs Daniels, not Don Quixote’s. Praying that you will seek God and His Word, that you will seek Godly counsel from obeyers who are full of the Holy Spirit, not seeking unity between light and darkness. Praying that any battle you fight is the LORD’s battle for you, so the Battle Belongs To The LORD! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
I just love God’s Word. It’s as practical today as it was 2000 years ago. A friend was recently hired for a new job. Praise God – He’s the provider! Jobs come from Him. He not only gives you a job, He gives shows you, how to act, He gives what to do on that job instructions for success from His Word. First – all jobs come from him. Promotion doesn’t come from the east or west, it comes from the LORD (Ps 75:6-7). Second you don’t work for man, and you don’t work for money, you work for the LORD (Col 3:23-24). Third PiVAT becomes even more important when you begin a job. You need God’s plans, not yours! Not only getting God’s plans for what hours you are to spend at work, and what hours you are to spend away from work, with your family, but exactly what God wants you to do in those work hours that will focus you on what is most important that will bring you success. You can work according to your plans today, or you can work according to God’s plans for you today. That company really belongs to him, (Ps 24:1), that boss is there by his choosing, for the time of his choosing, just like you are (Ps 75:7). He can remove them as easily as He can remove you. The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it. That includes every company, every job, every office, every promotion. Paychecks don’t come from companies, they come from the LORD – your provision is not dependent nor limited by your paycheck. (Phil 4:19) You work for the LORD, not for man. Do your work heartily as unto the LORD, not for men, knowing that from the LORD you will receive the reward of the inheritance – it is the LORD Christ whom you serve. One very important lesson to learn, is to separate your time from money. The world says time is money – if it helps you become more efficient great, but money shouldn’t be a higher motivation to work with excellence, than your love for God. If you tie money to hours of labor, you will only put in what you get paid. But God says, Give and it will be given to you, good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. This doesn’t just apply to money, it applies to effort, and sowing into your job, and the company and customers God has called you to serve. The more you give at your work, the more you will receive, if not from this boss, from the next, if not from this company, than from the next. Your Heavenly Father will not let you be underpaid forever. But in truth, when you serve God you will always be underpaid by your employer (not by God). That should be your goal! Because you will always give more than you receive. You should always be worth more than you get paid, that’s how your pay will then catch up to the value you deliver – only for you to increase the value delivered once again. God reminded me yesterday of the 4C’s of your Job. You know the 4C’s Accounting Tool, which helps you know where God’s money is, so you can do what He tells you to do with it… So you learn to love God, not money… But these 4C’s of your Job are different – but equally important. The first Job C is Company. God said we are to honor those in authority over us, whether they are good bosses or harsh it doesn’t matter. (I Pet 2:13-20) The first thing you need to know when you start a new job – is the Company. Know their products and services – inside out – become an expert. First you get paid for what you do, then for what you know, then for what you can lead others in doing, and then for what your money can do… But first know the company – every product and service – this is the learning curve, that goes beyond just your ‘paid training period.’ Ask God how much time to spend at work, and out of work, becoming an expert at what your company has to offer. Especially focus on Company Mission and Vision – This is the key to honoring your boss. Your Number 1 job is to make your boss look good. If they look good, you look good. Learn the mission and vision of that company. Everything you do, should bring that company’s vision to pass – anything outside of it, shouldn’t be done, it’s mis-focused effort. There is nothing that a boss needs more than a person who is as committed to seeing His or Her vision come to pass as they are. They will love you, they will trust you – and they will take you with them when they get promoted. Always give more than you get paid, and you will always be working on a raise. The Second Job C – is Customers. Get to know your customers inside and out. Find out why they bought the services your company offers, and find out what they need, not what they want (“they’ll want you into bankruptcy”) find out what they need (ask God and ask them, and do some research.) If you know what they need most, you can see if and how your company’s products and services can best help them. Learn your Customer’s mission and vision. If what you do can help them accomplish what they want to do… if they know you are trying to help them see their vision come to pass – just like you are helping your boss, they will love you and you will become a trusted partner in fulfilling their company’s mission and vision. The 3rd C of your new Job – the Competition. Know your competitors, and what they have to offer. This should not be an overblown focus, but be aware of what you are up against. Never disparage your competitors, but by knowing what they have, you can better communicate the value of your services to the customers’ greater advantage. Even if your competitor is cheaper, doesn’t mean they are better. Know the competition, and if you know your customer, their needs, and your own company – you can maximize the value and results for those customers that you serve. And the final Job C – Climate. Understand the market that you serve. What outside dynamics affect or may affect the way you serve your customers. Whether a technology change, or a health and safety consideration, whether a potential economic condition, or political, legislative or legal decision that could impact your ability to serve customers or the way you serve them. Look ahead to anticipate those things outside your control, that could impact how you serve. Ask God to help you and show you. Praying that you will be diligent in PiVAT before dinner – and PiVAT Weekly – so you will know exactly what God wants you to do to honor Him in the workplace. When getting ready to start that new job, Use PiVAT What If – to ask God and see what your new work schedule will look like, to ensure that you are putting the time that God assigns into the areas of your life including this new job, and the other areas He has equally called you to. He will tell you what hours, and the most effective way to use them. People are watching! This job is part of your Kingdom assignment. It’s not hard to be excellent – because so few people are… They just put in what they need to, God has called you to more. To work on this job like He would, to find His plans and His strategies for you to succeed. To serve with excellence and the love of Jesus. Your attitude is different, your purpose and vision here are different. And your joy is different. The Bible says Daniel was neither corrupt nor negligent. He was excellent at what He did, completely honest, and completely diligent, and most highly effective. When God sent Joseph to Potiphar’s house – the whole company started thriving, and it became obvious. It was because of Joseph, and the blessing that God brought because of Him. Praying for you and your company - for that Joseph anointing that comes with you! And that Daniel anointing that God has for you – in that company where you serve God by serving others. You won’t work at this job or this company forever, so praying that you would serve God with all your heart and soul and strength in the tasks that He gives you here. And when He says it’s time to go home, that you would be fully present with your family and the other responsibilities He has called you to. Praying that PRISM will be your never miss. The busier you get, the more your responsibilities grow, the more you need the wisdom of God, His specific instructions that He has waiting for you for today, and the mind of Christ – from which His excellence can shine through you. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
I just love God’s Word. It’s simple. James 5:16 – Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. What is prayer? A petition, a request before God. Something that you cannot do on your own, you need His help. He is the only One who can do it, or He can do it infinitely better than you can. What kind of prayer? Effective prayer – not misguided, the prayers that are effective are the prayers He wants you to pray, because it’s what He wants to do. These prayers are not for personal gain or self-indulgence, these are prayers directed by the Holy Spirit – to join with the move of God on the earth. And once effective (meaning God-directed), then they are fervent (Energeo) active, boiling hot, ardent, earnest, excited, animated, glowing, vehement. What God directs you to pray do it with all the energy He gives you. And keep doing it! These are the kind of prayers - but it also depends on who’s praying them. The fervent effectual prayers of the righteous man (male and female) availeth much. What is righteous? Right Standing (in Christ) Right Doing (What he tells you) and Quick Repenting (and turning, if you make an unrighteous choice). These prayers by these people – God said they avail much. They accomplish much! They make a difference – they make things happen. They contribute, they play a part, an important part. Availeth – to profit – to turn to advantage. To assist or profit, to affect the object or bring to a successful conclusion, to be of great use or advantage, to have strength force or efficacy sufficient to accomplish the object. They bring an advantage toward success. If there ever was a time to pray – it is now. God is joining together hundreds and thousands across this country – to pray. If there ever was a time to pray, it’s now. If there ever was a time to be effective in what you pray (to seek what is on God’s Heart, the righteous judge and the merciful Savior) it’s now. If there was ever a time to be fervent – with all the strength God’s grace will give, it’s now. If there ever was a time to be righteous – to choose holiness, not compromise, it’s now. If there ever was a time to call on the Name of the LORD, it’s now. Praying that you will simply pray. That it will be what God tells you to pray – what is on his heart for this nation – the resolution He has ordained, that you will be effective by the Holy Spirit, that you will be fervent and undeterred, that you will be righteous in thought, word and deed. That your prayers which are His prayers – would avail much, would accomplish much, would bring to success everything God has in His heart to do, in this nation, and in the world, in this generation. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
You’ve seen cookbooks before, one hundred ways to cook chicken, or spam… That’s probably not so good… But have you ever thought about what all you can do with just one verse of the Word of God? One verse from that Book that gives life and wisdom, truth and promise, love and hope? That brings you an increase every time you do anything with it? Because it’s God himself – in Word… What could you all do with a verse? PRISM – those five things you can do in God’s Word every day. You could Praise the WORD with that verse, you could Read the Word with that verse, you could gain Insight from the Word from that verse. Usually Insight from the Word is today’s Proverbs chapter that specific wisdom God wants to give you for today – you’ll need it! But you can gain insight from any verse of God’s Word. Its truth is practical and eternal. You could Study the Word with that same verse – SOAP it out (Scripture – write it down, Observation – ask God What do you want me to see that I’ve never seen before, or be reminded of?), Application – you could ask God what do you want me to do, now that you’ve revealed this to me? And Prayer you could ask God to help you do what He just showed you in that verse. But you can do even more than PRISM with a verse. You can Read it, Hear it, Praise It – Praise God for the truth that’s contained in that verse – who He is and what He does in response to it. You can Pray it – pray it over yourself, ask God to help you do it or become it, or avoid it. You can Declare it. Simply state what it says – as if what God says is true. It is. He does not lie. You can Repeat it – meditate on it, running it back through your mind and heart again and again – like a cow chewing his cud, or like a great player practicing his craft. You can Pray it over others, Encourage others with it, Declare it over someone else, either on your own or better yet in their presence as a blessing and benediction. You can just call them and pray it over them, and maybe ask them the best question ever (What do you need most from God today?) Listen, and let the Holy Spirit use your voice, and your obedience to speak and pray into their life the exact thing they need in this moment. Praying that you will spend time in one verse – in all the things you can do with it. Ask God which one. That’s the difference between His verse for you, and one that you would pick out. Nothing will return void, but He’s got the best one for you. Praying that God will show you the verse that He has for you today. That you will be encouraged, amazed, changed! That you would walk in it – whatever He has for you. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you…
I just love God’s Word. Do you know what I love about it? It never returns void. It never comes back with nothing. It always brings an increase! God promised. Seed time and harvest, the more seed you sow the more harvest you get. Indulge me in a quick tangent… What if you could put your money somewhere where it would always get a return, and never lose money? You’d probably do it every day. Here’s one, the fallacy of the curse of debt giving you a tax break. Meaning whatever you pay in interest is tax deductible - it lowers your taxable income. That’s true, but that’s like spending a dollar to get a dime. It’s guaranteed, but a guaranteed loss. If you are in the 15% tax bracket… Every $100 you spend on interest to the lender, you save $15 in taxes. But you lost the whole hundred dollars to save the fifteen. Saving $15 is great, but if you have to spend $100 to save it, that’s not a $15 savings, that’s a $85 loss! Come to think of it… don’t borrow money to get a tax break, just send me $100 and I’ll be happy to give you $15 back every time! Every time you avoid debt, it’s a guaranteed return. You always save the interest you never paid. The Word of God is an even bigger return on your investment than that – exponentially! It gives you wisdom. How much money could wisdom save you? When it comes to God’s Word – What God says will always bring you an increase… Praying that you will increase the increase, increase the seed, so you increase the harvest. What’s the first step? PRISM – those five things you can do in God’s Word every day. Anytime you read the Word of God, that’s already doing PRISM. Another way to increase the increase… PRISM Topics – The power of God’s Word on a Single Subject. Like PRISM Topic - Life Purpose & Direction. Or Relationship Topics – a perspective from God’s Word on relationships. Like Relationship Topic - What Should Friends Do? or How To Treat People? What if you just played a PRISM Topic Audio when you get up in the morning, and before you go to bed at night… for the next seven days? PRISM Topic – Starter Verses and PRISM Topic - Ending Verses. While you’re in the shower, before your next meal, every time you get in the car to go somewhere – Give God the first fruits of the car ride. I used to listen to Sports Talk Radio, not anymore, I always tithe my car rides to the LORD. At least the first 10% in the WORD, or in Prayer. One time on a road trip with my wife and a friend, we took a two hour trip and focused on the Word of God the whole time! Its that increase that brings the increase. If you don’t like hearing someone else’s voice. Just record a PRISM Topic with your own voice. You don’t have to have a voice like Morgan Freeman, there’s something about hearing yourself say it… that will increase your belief. No different than what someone else says, versus what you say. Praying that you will Increase the Increase. That you would increase the dose and frequency of God’s Word in your life. What would happen? What would happen if you did PRISM every day for 30 days, Insight From the Word – that Proverbs Chapter of today’s date. What would happen in a month to the wisdom you gain and operate with. What would happen if you included your children when you did it? Your whole family would change, they would increase, you would get a return – guaranteed. What does God say about this? See the PRISM Topic – His Word. Love you all, dad |
