Love you all, praying for you,
First, what is an obeyer? One who hears and obeys the voice of God, who walks in His plans for their good! Why would you want to be one? Because all of God’s promises and all of His good, are for those who obey. And most important of all - because that’s what Jesus did. To be a follower of Christ – you have to live like He did. He was the ultimate obeyer. In fact, that’s all He did – as an example for us, so you can fulfill your purpose, like He fulfilled His. So what are the Eleven Habits of Obeyers? #1) They write it down. Obeyers write it down. How will you remember what God told you, if you don’t write it down? Like Samuel – He didn’t let one Word from God fall to the ground. He valued it highly enough to write it down, so he could remember, rehearse it, and be sure to do it. David did the same thing. Solomon would never have known God’s plans for the temple, if David hadn’t written it down. “I have in writing from the hand of the LORD upon me all the details of the plan.” God has plans for you, answers for you, revelation for you, direction for you, details for you! That's how you get to His good for you! Praying that whatever He says, through whatever means He uses to say it... that you will write it down. Like Samuel, like David, like Moses, like Luke, and John, and Paul. God started speaking to man when he created Adam, and walked with him in the cool of the evening, after his day’s work was done. Praying that you will review the PRISM Topic – Write It Down. Praying that you will have a Conversation Log – that you use every day. Not a Journal – where people write down their ideas, this is a Conversation Log where you write down every conversation you have with God, yourself, or others – through which He reveals truth and direction for you. Praying that if you had one, and have fallen out of the habit, that you would go back to it. His Word to you is worth it! Those who become the most in life, (and the only thing worth accomplishing is what God told you to do), aren’t the ones who never fall off track, or fall down, but the ones who are the quickest to get back up and get back on track. They learn to recover quickly, get back to basics quickly! Everyone will go through difficult seasons, crazy busy seasons, where the habits that made them successful get eroded by worry, panic, disorganization, and work harder. Like hurry up and cut there’s no time to measure! Ask any carpenter how effective that is. Sharpen the axe, don’t just work harder. Praying that you will get back to your Conversation Log – or start one if you never have. Praying that you will use PiVAT Highlighters! Just like a database full of information is of little use if you can’t access it, PiVAT Highlighters help you quickly come back to the things that God told you, and revealed to you. Whether using them in your Bible with PRISM, or your Conversation Log for your PRISM pages, or other conversations, they will lead you quickly to the truth you need, the reminder you need, at the time you need it. The Holy Spirit will use them to direct you, to hone you, to sharpen you, empower and encourage you. Praying that if you ever get off track, you will become skilled in returning quickly to the habits that help you obey. Praying that you will write it down, and not give up. It doesn't need to be perfect, perfection is the enemy of progress - just keep going, and keep trusting that God will honor you for valuing what He says. Your Conversation Log is where you hear and remember so you can obey what He tells you. The more you ask, the more He will answer and the more you write down, the more you remember, the more you obey, and the more He will give you! Praying that God delights you today – with what He says. He’s always speaking, He’s just waiting for us to notice, to capture it, so we can remember, and walk in it. Love you all, dad
